Really happy with my experience here! The sandwich was fresh, tasty, and made exactly how I wanted, but what really stood out was the excellent service from Angelina. She was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive from the moment I ordered. She was polite, patient, and made sure everything was prepared perfectly. Her warm attitude and genuine care for customers really made the experience stand out. You can tell Angelina takes pride in providing great service, and it definitely shows. Fantastic sandwich and exceptional customer service from Angelina — I’ll definitely be coming back!

Clontarf Westwood is the best gym and O’Briens Cafe is even better. The staff is really helpful and do their best.
Without offending anyone, I would like to point out that everyone has bad days personally and at work, doesn’t mean they need to be criticised so heavily.
Life is give respect and get respect and stay positive.
I always see the staff treat everyone with a warm welcome and smile. In my opinion staff are very nice and polite. To mention specifically PAULA and Sabina are the best and always cheerful with a smile on their faces.
Out of my 6 training days in a week, I eat at Clontarf Westwood Cafe. Their brunch is always good and healthy and it’s always a good portion.
There are many other branches and other cafe brands but I rather eat at O’Briens Westwood Clontarf because their food is good, they serve with smile and do their best.

Very good service, especially under pressure. White Americanos are great, thanks to Angekina, Sabina and Paula and all the staff.

I don’t often take the time to write reviews, but my recent visit to O’Briens in Westwood, Clontarf, absolutely deserves one. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere set the tone for a genuinely lovely experience — bright, clean, and welcoming, with that unmistakable smell of fresh coffee and freshly baked bread that immediately makes you feel at home.
I was served by two staff members, Sabina and Paula, and honestly, their hospitality made the visit. Sabina greeted me with a warm smile the second I stepped up to the counter, and she took the time to talk me through a few of the specials rather than just rushing through the order. She was attentive without being pushy, and it was clear she genuinely enjoys her job — that kind of energy is infectious and instantly puts you at ease.
Paula was just as wonderful. She was working the coffee machine, and I watched her prepare drink after drink with real care and precision — no rushing, no shortcuts, just consistent quality order after order. When my coffee arrived, it was easily one of the best I’ve had in a long time: perfectly balanced, silky microfoam, and clearly made by someone who takes pride in the craft. She even checked in afterward to make sure everything was to my liking, which is a small touch but one that says a lot about the standards at this particular branch.
As for the food, I ordered a sandwich and it did not disappoint. The bread was fresh — you could tell it hadn’t been sitting around — and the fillings were generous without being sloppy. Everything felt fresh, thoughtfully assembled, and clearly made with care rather than just thrown together. It’s the kind of sandwich that makes you rethink what a “quick lunch” can be.
What really stood out to me overall was the sense of teamwork between Sabina and Paula. They worked seamlessly together, communicating easily, keeping the line moving efficiently even as more customers came in, all while never losing that personal, friendly touch. It’s rare to find a café where the staff seem to genuinely enjoy working together, and it showed in the overall vibe of the place.
The café itself was spotless — tables wiped down promptly, floors clean, and everything organized in a way that made it easy to relax and enjoy my food rather than feel like I was in a rushed fast-food environment. Prices were fair for the quality and portion size, and I never felt like I was being upsold or rushed out.
Overall, this visit to O’Briens Westwood in Clontarf was a genuinely great experience from start to finish. Between the excellent coffee, the fresh, satisfying food, and above all the outstanding service from Sabina and Paula, I’ll absolutely be back. If you’re in the Clontarf area and want a coffee and sandwich spot where the staff actually care about your experience, I can’t recommend this location enough.
