The lobby bar here is an amazing spot for a quiet afternoon Guinness - the staff are super nice.

The parts which have been renovated are excellently done and the staff couldn't be friendlier or more helpful. We really liked the "old school" feel: no cards for the lights, just proper keys and light switches. A radiator which we could simply turn up or down without need of a digital display. Doors and furniture all very solid. Everything actually works, which sadly feels like a nice change in the digitally dominated world. Location couldn't be better..... its a really good choice

Loved it. the refurb is on going but the downstairs is absolutely beautiful. look forward to staying in a refurbished room next time. The staff were lovely and very helpful. As a wheelchair user I had no problems at all. Was a lovely stay.

I have stayed 4 nights in this hotel. Standard room with two beds. I tell you: The hotel is well located, close to the city center. It is a nice hotel and looks quite modern. The room is well decorated and pleasant, however, it is small and there is no closet suitable for hanging clothes. It should be noted that the heating works really well and is easy to adjust. The breakfast is just fine, it's not wonderful, but it's fine. The attention from the hotel staff is correct and some employees speak Spanish. To the question, would you recommend this hotel? The answer is YES.

Our room overlooked the pantheon square. It was truly amazing. Great location for walking, touring, watch out for car traffic, if 1st time visitor.

Great location, beautiful building. The rooms are oil heated (radiator) with no controls in the room. We had to call to the front desk every 3 hr to have the heat turned off, otherwise the room was a sauna and the heat kept getting turned back on. According to the web page, the room was recently renovated. It looked worn. The stone desk was cracked and visibly supported by the fridge in the middle. Not bad but I expected more. Access to the Temple Bar area is fantastic, close to the park and many restaurants. Location and general vibe around the lobby was great. Staff is friendly and attentive. I doubt there was much they could do about the heat in the room.

This hotel is beautifully decorated, the staff are genuinely friendly, and the spaces are impeccably clean. However, a note for those who struggle to sleep when overheated: the temperature is centrally controlled by the hotel, likely on a timer. Our room would get warm, prompting us to call the front desk to have the heat turned off, which they politely accommodated. The room would cool down (helped by opening the window, even in December), but after a few hours, the cycle would repeat. Aside from this issue, everything else about our stay was excellent.

Great location in front of Temple bar area. Restaurant and bar onsite. Large rooms. Just very hot because we didn’t know how to work the radiator, however opening the windows helped. Courteous front desk. Plenty of counter space in bathroom. Tub didn’t drain well but good water pressure of shower.

Fabulous place to stay, room was so clean and comfy. With a lovely spacious bathroom.Staff goes above and beyond. Ross and all the young men on staff that evening made our stay so special. Parking is so handy for a city hotel with a discounted rate for stay at the clarence. Plenty of lively entertainment just around corner. Would def recommend for a short break away.
