Octopussy's Seafood Tapas in Dublin

The food was okay overall, but not worth the wait. I had to wait around 40 minutes, which was disappointing for something that turned out to be just fine. My boyfriend really enjoyed his fish and chips, but the chili and chorizo squid was average, and the chicken wings were only okay. As a vegetarian, I ordered two sides, they were fine, but nothing memorable. We do understand that wings and sides aren’t their specialty, but we expected a little more. Out of the four of us, only one person was truly happy with their meal. On the brighter side, the staff were very friendly, the food came out quickly once ordered (about 15 minutes), and the restaurant has a lovely view.

Very delicious, fresh fish dishes are available, one of the best on the peninsula. Friendly and service. We didn't book a table, so we had to wait a bit, but it was worth the wait.

We decided to take a chance and to try this place after seeing lots of good reviews. Because was Monday wasn't so busy but even then we have to stay in the queue before to take a place in the restaurant. Very tiny place with big choice of sea dishes. We ordered 2 fish and chips and some calamari. After taking our order to arriving the food take max 10 min. Very tasty, fresh and well presented food with lots of flavour. The girls working there Lisa and Nicole was so nice and polite. We even had a free coke "SPA" bonus 😉,and was so funny anyway 🤣🤣🤣. We definitely will be back again. I highly recommend this place to everyone visiting Howth. Keep going same way guys. Thank you for your time and smiles 😃

Food is really good but the service could be improved.

The whiskey scallops were super delicious. Everything else had unhealthy and unnecessary amount of butter in them. The service is really not great. I get it that they are busy but they project that stress directly on customers. We had young hungry toddlers with us and the staff refused (with a lot of attitude) to give us a rough estimate of how long was their wait-list! 15 minutes or 2 hours! We wanted to order more food and drinks but the check was slapped on our table prematurely! When we asked for more water, they didn't like that they had to adjust the check! What a burden!!

The food was excellent, but the wait was a bit long. No beer, and the wine was a bit expensive.

What a place. Fantastic food, staff, drinks and location. Loved every second. Laid back atmosphere. Now a bit of advice. The portions sizes are not 100% accurate. Small is a medium, medium is large 😃. We massively over-ordered, but it was great to have the left overs for dinner the night after.

Low key, cosy, lovely staff. Not overpriced. Sat at the bar with a bottle of wine and a few starters and spent a few hours passing the time. A crowd outside gathered and I went to see what was going on and a friendly seal and come to join us
