Octopussy's Seafood Tapas in Dublin

5/5 seafood spot, hands down. The fish and chips were delicious and authentic - super crispy and perfectly moist. Being able to sit outside and enjoy the atmosphere that Howth has to offer is unmatched with a nice warm meal. The service was very prompt and friendly. Be aware that although we were lucky and got a table without waiting, there was a queue for pretty much the entire lunch hour after we sat down. At the longest point, I believe we saw around 30 people in queue. This was on a Sunday, between 11am - 2pm. If I'm ever back in Howth, I would 100% come back here!

Very cosy atmosphere looking out to sea with amazing food and friendly hosts. Also very accommodating for coeliacs as 95% of the menu is gluten free.

What a gem! We got lucky and spontaneously found a table here, but it gets really busy even on a weekday. Best fish and chips I’ve had so far, and the mussels were also delicious! I’d recommend it if you get lucky and find a table...unfortunately, it’s not that big, so the seating options are limited.

Best food during my stay in Ireland

I won't revisit. The service was such a letdown. The whiskey scallops were super delicious. Everything else had unhealthy and unnecessary amount of butter in them. The service is really unpleasant. I get it that they are busy but they project that stress directly on customers. We had young hungry toddlers with us and the staff refused (with a lot of attitude) to give us a rough estimate of how long was their wait-list! 15 minutes or 2 hours! We wanted to order more food and drinks but the check was slapped on our table prematurely! When we asked for more water, they didn't like that they had to adjust the check! What a burden!!

Small restaurant, I had a bit of a wait before getting a table but it was 1000x worth it. Super warm welcome and excellent food.

A must-visit before (or better yet, after) the Howth Cliff Walk. Seafood chowder, fish and chips, or other seafood delicacies – treat yourself! The staff are helpful, courteous, and quick. The price is also reasonable. It's more of a snack bar than a restaurant, and sitting outside is a good option.
