Food brilliant well worth stopping here

I would drive up here from Maynooth, just to have my birthday dinner here. The atmosphere here is amazing.

We were a group of 28, rang ahead 20 mins in advance. Tables ready for us, great variety of food, and staff really looked after us. We tried most of the menu amongst us, every dish was fabulous 👌. Great food, great staff, and topped off by a few nice pints downstairs. As a County Meath soccer club, Duleek AFC, the manager was blaring out Beautiful Meath at full volume and even produced a big Meath flag. A short but memorable stop off.

Wish we had known before this place existed! Sept 2026 • Couples Myself and Jim went to Mollys our usual haunt over the last 3 years. We ordered our usual pint and glass of wine with a wee packet of crisps or nuts. We got the oneand only wine they had. Choice was not available! Crisps nuts or any little snack was also off the menu!! We made up our minds immediately that this place was no longer welcoming. We would usually include the upstairs restaurant as part of our evenings itinerary. So we did not feel that would be appropriate considering the attitude we experienced. We then had to research a new restaurant/ bar. We decided on the Old Coach Inn /Watters. We’ll talk about chalk and cheese! We were blown away!! We came into a more than welcoming atmosphere with a very professional staff and to top it all .....a lovely log fire crackling in the hearth Such a lovely friendly atmosphere with a staff in wonderful starched white uniforms. We were immediately made comfortable and ordered our usual wine and a pint. I had a choice between a wide range of options! We are going back tomorrow evening for a meal. We attended a family christening here and had such a wonderful evening. The food was absolutely delicious, full of flavour with very generous portions, and the hand cut homemade chips were a real treat, something you don’t see very often anymore! The service was excellent, the staff were so friendly and attentive, with bar service right to the table. What really stood out were all the lovely little touches. They gave the new parents a personalised gift for their baby, played music for the cake cutting and the children, and even had a mini MC and flags flying for the mum and dad’s counties for a bit of fun! They really went above and beyond to make the day special. A wonderful, memorable evening and definitely 5 stars from us. We’ll be back!

I have been here several times over the last year for family events and it was a perfect experience every time. The staff are so attentive and the food is fantastic. I would not hesitate to come for a meal for any occasion.

Good food at reasonable prices. The pulled pork and chicken burger was delicious. All served with a smile. We will probably call again when we're next in Blaney
