Great spot for Irish music always an enjoyable night

Fun atmosphere with love music and a crowd. IPA was a bit dead hop-wise. Irish coffee was great.

I have been to many a pub in the island, some were terrible, some were excellent however Mr Kearneys establishment is quite possible the best experience I've had whilst staying hydrated with alcoholic beverages. Firstly the comedy club down stairs had my ribs aching so much I was close to cardiac arrest with the quality of acts from dry humour to the energy of the acts and small (full) audience. Secondly (there might be 14 points so I will only number firstly and secondly) the decor and vibe of the place were very Irish (yes, quaint, with character and suitable wall mounted Irish decor... nice! ALSO... the staff were brilliant, massive shout out to the fella who remembered (somehow) the 4 drinks i ordered the 1st visit to the bar, EVERY time I returned to the absolutely PACKED bar he simply spotted me whilst serving about a million other people and asked if I wanted the same again, right down to the future ex wife's fussy and particular 2 bits of frozen water in her pink gin!! The guys a legend and deserves barman of the year, he literally was serving 3 people at a time with the efficiency of the Polish government, outstanding!!! 👏👏 The musician was very good and whilst taking requests was tasteful, energetic and could hold a tune very well. 1 man and a guitar playing his wee heart out to a crowd of alcohol induced individuals. The vibe and atmosphere of my fellow, stranger drinkers was excellent also, everyone there was friendly and having mighty craic, it turns out nobody was a stranger and could talk to anyone as if you knew them well... brilliant atmosphere, craic, night, vibe and there isn't one thing I could fault about the place, and I do like a moan.

We did not eat, just had drinks. Very cool place, live music was spot on. Simon O'Connor recommended the place, and was right on. Fun spot, good place and fine company.

A very nice place to have a drink with live music

Ate before arriving so I cant speak for the food but the bar had a plentiful range of tap beers n ciders backed up by the stronger stuff. Great setting in the heart of Dublin and fantastic decorations and historic memorabilia adorn every space in the place. Good singer keeping the crowd humming but for me, the comedy show downstairs was the best. Classic basement setting and a fast paced show that featured local lads n lasses sharing everything from drunken wedding tales to their phone numbers 😁. Great value entertainment in a venue worth traveling to
