I really wanted the pho rau because other people have said that it’s vegan. The allergens on the menu say that it contains fish but the waitress told me that while it doesn’t contain fish, the broth is either beef or chicken and therefore would not be vegan.
So instead with help from the very kind waitress, I got the vegetable fried rice noodles with soy sauce instead of oyster sauce and that was delicious.

Delicious - correct Fu-Bo, fresh rolls. If you like Thai cuisine you will like it.

Pho Ta has delicious food, very friendly staff, accepts credit card payment, and the queue is very orderly. Even during peak dining hours, the environment is also good. I personally recommend summer rolls and raw and cooked beef pho. Raw and cooked beef pho costs 18 euros per serving, and summer rolls costs 7 euros per serving. 100% recommend everyone to try it.

Delicious but the taste is bland. I recommend the pork dish.
Lovely place with a great selection of food. Prompt and kind service all at a reasonable price.

Well located in the heart of Dublin’s busy city centre, surrounded by tourist hotspots and foot traffic, Pho Ta should be thriving. That’s why I was surprised to find it almost empty during my visit.
Unfortunately, the first impression was a bit depressing. The interior, dominated by dark brown tones, dim lighting, and partially covered windows, creates a gloomy and unwelcoming atmosphere. It feels more like a forgotten corner café than a vibrant Vietnamese restaurant.
That said, the service was very friendly and attentive, which made a big difference. I ordered the Pho with beef, and I must say - it was absolutely delicious. The broth was rich and flavorful, and the meat perfectly cooked. Food lovers won’t be disappointed on that front.
However, the experience took another hit when I visited the toilet. You have to go down a steep, narrow corridor, and the restroom itself, while functional, feels more like a cave - although generally clean, shows visible wear and tear. One particularly odd detail: in almost every corner, there was a random old mug or plate left behind. It felt more like a storage room than part of a professional restaurant.
If you care only about the food, Pho Ta delivers. But it’s not a place I’d choose for a business lunch or a date - it lacks charm, ambiance, and professionalism. A lot of untapped potential here. Pity.

Despite not being really authentic Pho Ta serves up the best Vietnamese food in Dublin. Menu price is higher than other Vietnamese eateries but IMHO worth the extra.
