Easy to find and park. Very busy diner and takeaway. Very nice staff. Portions were generous. Only I found the fish very wet with oil - should have drained for longer. And the chips were soggy, stuck together and fell apart when I used a fork. Chips had no crunch. Curry sauce was very tick but too salty for me. I had to wait for 20 minutes due to takeaways being rang in plus walk ins. I felt the regulars were prioritised over the walk-ins but that’s just my opinion. I didn’t get the amazing word of mouth recommendations but it was very busy.
Nothing has changed in over 35 years of visiting Pipers. The same great people, same friendly service and above all, the same consistanly good food. The fresh cod cannot be beaten, hands down, the best chipper in Ireland.
Wonderful people!
Huge portion of nicely baked cod (or hake ?) , friendly and well organized service. Would have loved to get a can of beer there as well (but I know the reason why not available), and maybe having the tables cleaned regularly
Lovely staff. Lovely location. Food was everything I hoped it would be.After seeing numerous reviews myself and the wife drove the 30 mins from Tallaght today very satisfied will be back. Cost was very cheap for the amount that we recived 30 euro for 2 fish,2 chips, and 2 drinks portion size was huge a couple could easily share one meal.
One of the best chippers around the staff are so nice the decor is amazing inside only discovered this place when the festival was on and came back the next weekend the prices are really good and the food is amazing specially the fish and those onion scallops ill be back next week again hopefully and the outside is a little oasis
