I've been visiting Portrane for years but never been to Piper's. Well, today was the day and oh my god! I've just experienced the best fish and chips of my life. Also, had a chat with one of their owners, Pat. Thank you Pat and team! I will certainly return and try all the menu!

Sometimes a small act of kindness can stay in someone's heart for a very long time. Yesterday, after waiting in a long queue, we were excited to order food for our family. When it came time to pay, our bank card unexpectedly stopped working. We felt embarrassed, stressed and didn't know what to do. Then something happened that we will never forget. A member of your staff simply smiled and told us to take the food and come back later with the money. You didn't know us. We were complete strangers. Yet you chose to trust us. In a world where people are often suspicious of one another, that level of kindness and trust is incredibly rare. We were genuinely touched and honestly a little emotional. It reminded us that there are still people who lead with goodness, generosity and faith in others. Of course, we returned as soon as we could to pay, but what stayed with us was not just the food – it was the feeling. The feeling that someone chose kindness when they didn't have to. The food was delicious, but what we will remember most is the warmth, humanity and trust we were shown. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You made our day, restored a little faith in people and gave us a story we will be telling for a long time. We wish you every success and look forward to visiting again.

Food is ok. I got fish and chips. Chips good, and good size. Fish is good size but a bit disappointed . Garlic sauce very nice, curry sauce a bit to liquid but good taste. Overall 8 from 10. Definitely recommend.

Honestly think these are the best chips in dublin. Fish portion are huge. Only draw back is the waiting time but thats due to demand. Hughly recommend this chipper.
