Hi, I'm a long-time regular here and I really appreciate the quality you usually maintain. I wanted to flag something recently: I always order the espresso but lately, the consistency has been off. The last few times, it has tasted distinctly sour and lacking clarity, especially compared to how great it was just a few weeks ago. Since I order the same thing every time, I can really notice the shift. I tried to tell the staff, but got an exact same sour shot again, I didn’t drink it.

Great drinks but rude staff? Not very friendly and almost felt they were annoyed at having customers and taking my order

Proper Order Coffee Co. is the kind of place that earns your respect — a café that’s clearly grown over time but has managed to hold onto the values that made it special in the first place. Walking in, you sense that quality matters here: good materials, a clean layout, and a café built for people, not just high turnover. The coffee and food match the space — thoughtful, reliably good, and made with care. You don’t get the feeling they’re cutting corners. Because they’ve been around long enough to evolve, they seem to understand what their community wants, and they deliver it. What sets them apart is how they’ve stayed grounded even while growing. The consistency, the friendliness of staff, the sense that they’re invested in more than just profit — those are traits you usually see in smaller startups, not businesses that scale. Proper Order manages to keep that spirit alive. All in all: this is a café you can trust will deliver, whether you’re visiting for the first time or your fiftieth. A business like this, with heart and quality, is exactly the kind you want in your neighbourhood.

Amazing tasting coffee. Ruined all other coffee for me on my trip to Dublin. Only complaint was there wasn't anything specific to have for breakfast there as a Vegan, settled for a brocoli focaccia (which was amazing and a good option for a lunchy bite) and was envious of all the nice pastries and treats the others in my group had. Understand its probably hard for a smaller business to account for every variable though, so it's not the end of. Deffo check out if you find yourself in Dublin and don't want to go down the rabbit hole of searching for the "best coffee in Dublin" on google... its this one.

I visited this lovely establishment 2 mornings in a row while staying next door. Delicious food and beverages. I wish there was a place like this in Texas, USA. Till next time.

Amazing place & lovely staff with a new concept of standing tables. A bit pricier than usual coffee. An 8oz cappuccino costed me 6€ which is well above average, but the quality of the coffee was really good. Ps : the pastry was a limited menu item from elliots which is a short walk away

I lost counts on how many times I’ve grabbed coffee from Proper. The shop is spacious. It can be quite busy, especially on weekends. It’s always clam and nice to see people chatting and reading books. I love reading my own books with a freshly brewed coffee here as well. However, compared to other coffee shops, the prices are quite high already, and today I found the summer drinks are even more expensive. A strawberry matcha is labeled for €7.1 The small piece of lemon cake I got is €7.

Lennan's Yard - Pub, Bar & Restaurant

18/10/2025: Had dinner upstairs at ASADOR with friends and we managed to fit 5 people comfortably at a table normally for 4. The staff were attentive and friendly from start to finish. We shared some of the breads and spreads, then each tried a main and a side—every dish was delicious, with perfectly sized portions. For dessert, we all went for the chocolate fondant with ice cream, which was a highlight. Great dining experience overall!
15/09/2025: Myself and some friends popped in there Saturday after we did the Vintage Afternoon Tea Tour on the bus, the girls had gone in here earlier before the tour for a half hour and liked it so we went back there, the place was busy so no seating inside and that was roughly at around 2.30pm so we had to sit outside in the yard which I didnt like at all because it was freezing. I did see a yard heater at the back but not where we were sitting, first off they dont take cash at the bar outside and the guy behind the bar was very smart about it so I had to go inside each time to get a drink and the bar staff there were not impressed I had cash one guy said to the girl serving " she wants a Moretti and she is paying cash " and made a face then snapped the cash out of my hand so bad manners all round. My next issue is the toilets they are unisex so when we went in there was a stink from them of urine and to use the bathrooms I had to close the toilet seat down whilst having my hand wrapped in toilet paper after a man used it and also had to wipe away urine that he had left there on the toilet !! To me that is disgusting and why women and men have to use the same bathrooms is beyond me, as the day went on the toilets just got worse and I didnt see anyone coming in to clean them. The girls serving outside were nice and we did like the glasses that the drinks were served in but for me that was the only positive, I didnt think the atmosphere was that good at all and we were there for a few hours, we left there and went to another bar for food and I dont think I will return again. I can't comment on the food as we didn't eat there, it was €7.90 for a pint of Moretti which is standard over pricing when you are in Dublin City and I am from Dublin and work in the hospitality industry.
