This was our first time in this area and restaurant. We arrived in early January so expected to be quiet, we arrived shortly after opening, very welcoming and friendly. Food was really quick and they were very attentive. Food was really good, extensive menu, particularly for someone quite fussy with food. Real home cooked style feel which we love. Definitely be back if back in the area, highly recommend.

Lovely spot, right on the waters edge. We were there shortly after opening, so place was very quiet, and it was bucketing down, which was a bit of a bummer, but the food was lovely, I had seabass and my wife had scallops. Owner was a lovely lady, hope you had a lovely wedding anniversary break! We've recommended the place to others who were on the same campsite as us, well done.

Amazing experience here today ! Great seafood menu. Seen the lobster Thermidor for below €40 and thought it had to be frozen, asked our wonderful host and she assured me her husband is the chef and only uses fresh local seafood. What’s followed was nothing short of the best lobster I have ever eaten, so tender, full of flavour and even the meat in the claws has been deshelled. I can’t wait to sample the rest of your menu, well worth the drive from Inishowen to visit.

The Narrow Quarter Bistro & Coffeehouse

05/01/2026: Stopped here with my parents, wife, and 4 small children. We were immediately offered a highchair, and the clean bathrooms were equipped with a change table. The food and service were amazing. My 75 year old father claims the NQ burger was one of the best burgers he has ever tasted. My wife had the fish chowder, which she said was tasty, comforting, and delicious. I was recommended the naanwhich, and was certainly not disappointed. The children had fish and chips, sausage and chips, and the homemade soup, and all plates were left clean. I cannot recommend this place enough. Excellent all-around; we were supremely satisfied.
