Dear Helen! Thank you so much for the wonderful evenings we spent at your fantastic restaurant. The food was superb, no matter what we ordered. We were only in Round Wood for three days, but we ate here every evening and were delighted each time with the simple yet delicious food. The service was very friendly and helpful, as were the other guests (Louse and Jimy!). We will gladly return. Warm regards from Cologne, Vera and Volker

Dropped in here having made a reservation while out walking in Devils Glen. Old world charm and a delicious lamb stew. My daughter had the chicken and chips which were cooked to perfection.Convenient parking at rear of premises

30/06/2026: Nice little pub, can get busy. Staff friendly but arrived can be slow as not enough staff on.
07/06/2026: A wonderful experience. A great find. I even brought my dog ​​along without any problems. The food is really very good and affordable compared to other pubs in the area. We were treated to a short concert and some traditional Irish songs. I highly recommend going. Dinner service is until 9 pm, and it remains a pub until 11 pm/midnight (on Saturday nights). The Guinness is served perfectly.

07/07/2026: Our host recommended this pub to us. Unfortunately, I can't understand either the good reviews or the recommendation. We had the goat cheese salad as a starter and the veggie burgers as our main course. Let's start with the positives: the fries were homemade and fresh. The rest of the food, however, was prepared very carelessly and was average at best. There was no salt, pepper, or vinegar on the table, and when we asked for some, three packets of mayonnaise were wordlessly placed on it. The service seemed rushed, even though there were hardly any customers. Perhaps we just caught them on a bad day, but we were very disappointed.
