Say Fish in Dublin

Not a fish eater myself, but my parter if a fish fiend and completely adored what was on offer here. The price was a bit steep but I suppose thay is sto expected of such a tourist destination. Still, served as a lovely meal while we endured the blistering heat a month ago

The Dun Laoghaire promenade is one of my favorite spots in Dublin. It has a beautiful view and wonderful places to explore. But there is nothing better that a great meal of fish and chips to complete the experience. The fish and chips were perfect! Delicious and fresh made by a wonderful staff. I will come back again the next time I visit.

The fish is the undeniable star. Whether it’s scampi or haddock, the batter is always crisp, light and golden and never soggy or overpowering. Inside, the fillet is juicy and flaky, clearly top quality and whoever says it’s frozen must not understand the industry lol. They don’t cut corners here, and you can really taste the difference. Chips? ALWAYS gorgeous, golden, and just the right side of crispy. Not too greasy, not too dry - comforting and satisfying in the way chips should be. Pair them with ANY of their homemade sauce (the truffle sauce is my personal favourite) so herby and full of flavour, you’ve got a real winner here. What makes Say Fish really stand out, though, is the consistency. Whether you’re a regular or just popping by for the first time, the food is always on point. The service is friendly without being fussy, and there’s a clear sense of pride in what they serve. Prices are reasonable for the quality it is slightly above your ‘budget chippy’ range, not by too much though all things considered. But still yet so excellent value for the quality and freshness you’re getting. Overall Rating: 9.2/10 Say Fish is a masterclass in doing simple food very, very well and consistently. It respects tradition while bringing a clean, modern edge to it. If you’re after fish and chips done with heart and precision, this is a must-visit. Just make sure to get there early!

Simply the best fish and chips in Ireland! The food is outstanding, especially the chips, which I absolutely love. The service is also excellent. The food is ready within minutes, and everything tastes amazing. I can honestly say this because I eat here EVERY day, and I highly recommend it!

Fresh fish and chips from a food truck. Long wait times during peak hours. The fries are amazing, the fish is fresh. Try the Cajun panko marinade.

Been meaning to try for a while. Hopening hours on google say open every day from 12 noon. Arrived 12.30, staff there..but said not open till 2! Walked the piers, lovely on a sunny day. Back just after 2pm. The Cajun fish and chips was tasty but very small portion for $15. Half the size of the photos on previous reviews here. Both overcooked. Huge queue so may try it once more but it really should be consistent.

The best chips ive found since moving to Ireland, keep going back for more even though im not that local!
