Shoreline Hotel in

We recently had our daughter’s christening party in the Shoreline. Their reception and foyer area with sea views was a perfect spot and great for the extended family and kids. It was relaxed and Mary looked after us so well. The food platters were more than enough and everything was liked by all. Staff, especially Mary couldn’t have been more attentive. We will be sure to consider the Shoreline for more family occasions.

I stayed here for four days during a conference and had a fantastic experience overall. The rooms were clean, spacious, and the beds were super comfortable — especially on the top floor with those stunning views. They’re currently renovating the rooms one by one, and the updates are already looking very modern. The service was excellent throughout my stay. Staff were consistently friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. The food was definitely a highlight. Breakfast was great, with options like a full English, omelettes, and pancakes. The conference dinner was even better — a delicious goat’s cheese starter followed by a perfectly cooked roast and a brownie for desert. The area around the hotel is beautiful as well, with beaches and coastal paths perfect for short walks. Getting to Dublin is easy, thanks to the hotel’s shuttle to Donabate station. From there it's only about 30 minutes by train into the city centre. The shuttle also runs to and from the airport, which made travelling a breeze. All in all, I had a brilliant stay and really enjoyed my time here.

Awful place dreadful coffee and expensive with it

Great location and delicious breakfast, brunch...

Room was comfy, spacious and clean enough for our family of four. We were on the ground floor, beach side, so it was really nice to relax in such close proximity to the sea; we just had to open the patio glass door and step outside ! Breakfast was really excellent and generously portioned, with such pretty views of the sea no matter where you sat. People were always friendly, which really helps ! Plus the location was perfect to explore Dublin and its surrounding areas.

Recently went to a private function here. The bar shut before closing time 12:00 on a Saturday night, the main hotel bar was also shut, how the owners approve this carryon is beyond me, there were 50+ people in the function room, we’d to re-arrange transport as we’d a private coach booked for 1:15am. I’d also add the hot food wasn’t great at all, cocktail sausages and chicken goujons, no sauces, or anything else, the lack of staff at the bar meant long wait times. I will add that the food in the restaurant is nice as I’ve been a few times recently but if you’re thinking of booking this place for a private event I’d seriously reconsider your options.

The rooms are a bit dated. That in itself isn't necessarily a bad thing. But when it smells like Norman Bates' mother is rotting under the bed, well... then it's difficult to give a good room review. Unfortunately, the carpets were also quite stained. Breakfast was very good, everything you could wish for was there, and the service at dinner was truly excellent.
