Shoreline Hotel in

If you’re cool with rougher edges, it’s fine. Location is cool by beach. Bar area nice chill/family buzz. But walls of our room near bed had a lot of dings that easily could have been painted over for a cleaner look. Bathroom sink had no drain stopper and whole room scene was ‘ugh feeling’.

Great hotel, great staff, great location

Second time staying at the shoreline in donabate and honestly it is outstanding. Food was absolutely gorgeous great deals on food 👌 Mary was honestly so helpful she made it that bit better. We're 100% booking for our wedding venue

We visited the Shoreline Hotel for afternoon tea and were seated at a table with a stunning seaside view. The tiered tray featured a selection of savoury bites at the top and two layers of beautifully presented desserts below. Coffee and tea were free-flowing throughout our visit. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the service was efficient.

Situated right by the coast, the hotel offers beautiful sea views and immediate access to scenic walks along the shoreline, making it an ideal base for relaxing as well as exploring the surrounding area. The location truly stands out — peaceful and refreshing, yet still conveniently close to Dublin city and the airport. Waking up to the sound of the sea and enjoying the coastal atmosphere adds something special to the entire stay. The food at the hotel is another highlight. The dishes are fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavor, with a great selection that caters to different tastes. Whether enjoying breakfast or dinner, the quality and presentation of the food consistently impress. Overall, the Shoreline Hotel delivers a perfect combination of a stunning seaside location and very good food, creating a comfortable and memorable stay. We recently had our daughter’s christening party in the Shoreline. Their reception and foyer area with sea views was a perfect spot and great for the extended family and kids. It was relaxed and Mary looked after us so well. The food platters were more than enough and everything was liked by all. Staff, especially Mary couldn’t have been more attentive. We will be sure to consider the Shoreline for more family occasions.

I stayed here for four days during a conference and had a fantastic experience overall. The rooms were clean, spacious, and the beds were super comfortable — especially on the top floor with those stunning views. They’re currently renovating the rooms one by one, and the updates are already looking very modern. The service was excellent throughout my stay. Staff were consistently friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. The food was definitely a highlight. Breakfast was great, with options like a full English, omelettes, and pancakes. The conference dinner was even better — a delicious goat’s cheese starter followed by a perfectly cooked roast and a brownie for desert. The area around the hotel is beautiful as well, with beaches and coastal paths perfect for short walks. Getting to Dublin is easy, thanks to the hotel’s shuttle to Donabate station. From there it's only about 30 minutes by train into the city centre. The shuttle also runs to and from the airport, which made travelling a breeze. All in all, I had a brilliant stay and really enjoyed my time here.
