Six by Nico Dublin in Dublin

Food is scrumptious. We did find it a little on the noisy side but wonderful tastes with highly complimentary wines, seemed to drown out any dissonance.

Looking at images online my expectations were set high. Let’s look on bright side. Price is brilliant for what you get. Service very pleasant. Food, doesn’t taste as good as it looks. One dish was incredibly salty, and I was unfortunately unlucky to get a hair in my dish which look, happens. But if you put so much detail into plating why did it happen. Still couple of dishes on point but rest unbalanced in taste. Still for this price one would be crazy to complain I guess. Unfortunately it was unbelievable busy and loud in a bad way too. Was hard to relax.

Met friends for a pre-Christmas catch up here with Wizard of Oz inspired menu. First time to dine here so was excited to try it. Unfortunately I found it disappointing. First course yellow brick road was hard, chewy and sticky - goats cheese heart lacked any flavour, other courses were tasty enough, best for me was coal fish but the portions were so incredibly tiny, it was a joke really. Im glad I was with girl friends as my husband would go crazy if offered such meagre morsels on a night out. I get the idea, it's creative & clever in presentation but just didn't work for me overall I'm afraid. On the upside, Susie our server was great!

We had an amazing evening in Six by Nico. The food was scrumptious. We also added the wine pairing to the dishes and it worked out really well. Great service as well. Happy customers! This review was made in connection with a Toast promotion

Good food, but don't like the add ons to the set menu. Makes the experience feel cheaper

We had a very pleasant experience with the Festive Sunday Roast menu. We really enjoyed all the dishes, the only slightly disappointment was with the main one (the one with the carrots) as both our dishes were almost cold when served. Overall a great different experience but considering the value for money I’m not sure if I’d repeat it.

We ate at six by Nico for the wizard of Oz theme. The food was amazing and the ideas based on the movie of the wizard of Oz were genius. I had never been to six by Nico before this and was a bit let down by the atmosphere and the actual restaurant. I was expecting something grand but the restaurant itself is very basic and modern. Maybe because the attention should be all on the food?? The staff were amazing although I couldn’t hear what they were saying when they came over to the table, the service was really good. The mixologist is impeccable.

Had a combined birthday party there. The set menu was delicious and the team gave a lot of thoughts to match dish names/ingredients with the set menu themes. The wine list was a bit disappointing - wine by glass selection was a bit limited, especially given that some positions were not available. Overall we had a nice celebration, and enjoyed the food. Are we planning to return back? Yes - given that set menu updates every 5 weeks or so.

Six by nico is a fantastic experience. Allows you to try foods you might never have ordered in a restaurant. Always fun. The staff are brilliant. Well worth trying.
