Southern Spices in Dublin

A pretty good South Indian restaurant that truly preserves the authentic flavors and spices. The highlight, however, is its clean and well-maintained washrooms — a rare find among Indian restaurants, even the “famous” ones in dublin.

Karol served with smile but the other waitress wearing spectacles seems like she doesn’t want to serve customers. Visited the restaurant because of the good food but please improve the service. My partner also told me that several times the waitress with spectacles seems judgemental and giving side eyes. Smh

Had dinner at Southern Spices near Sandford, and it was a really good experience overall. We ordered the chili parotta for appetizer and dosa, vada sambar and lemon rice for mains. Everything was flavorful and comforting, just like good South Indian food should be. 🍛 Chutney and sambar could be better but no complaints neither exceptional. The service was great, prices were very reasonable, and the food came out fresh and tasty. No complaints at all just good food and a relaxed, friendly vibe. Service and food was excellent!! Definitely comeback again. Very clean place.

Got Vegetarian Thali and Paruppu urundai kuzhambual (lentil balls in sauce). We shared the dishes between the two of us. The food was simple, delicious and filling. Would recommend.

Great, authentic south Indian food. Halal restaurant - Curry dishes are a must try although the names might be a bit confusing for anyone going first time and not familiar with the language!

The food was good, but too pricey... Idiyappam was soooo sofftt and fluffy and the price worth it... 2 for 3.5... But the chicken roast and another chicken dish we ordered seems to be okay when compared to the quantity and taste. Paneer Biriyani was also not up to quantity compared to quantity, taste wrt price ....

Good experience. We ordered: Podi idli - 5/5 Masala dosa - 4/5 ( more spices could be added in stuffing) Paniyaram - 4/5 vada sambhar - 5/5 (they serve vada dipped in sambhar) Masala chai - 5/5 Filter coffee - 4.7/5 Aatukaal biryani weekend special - 3/5 They have quite a good variety on the menu. Very good seating area, clean and Staff was very friendly.

About 20 guests dropped by when I together with my husband had lunch here. Those people were terrible they talked loudly and the restaurant manager did nothing this is why I gave 4stars instead of 5.
