I came here for a coffee and a seat while killing time before heading to the airport. No complaints. My order was made promptly. Staff were friendly. I had peace and quiet while I drank coffee and people watched. Its a busy place, so seats were limited.

I am very picky about the bitterness of the coffee, what beans are used. Today I had the best coffee I have had in Ireland

It's a completely ordinary Starbucks: standard coffee and decent service, nothing special about it.
The negative aspect was the closing time. At 6:55 p.m., they asked me to leave because they were closing, despite being in a busy area where other coffee shops were still open. I even asked to use the restroom a few minutes before 7:00 p.m., and they told me, with a smile, that it was already closed.
I understand the hours, but the manner and rigidity were surprising. Based on this experience, I wouldn't return to this Starbucks and I wouldn't recommend it.

2025: Visited on a drizzly day - coffee hot, atmosphere cozy, great seats at the back just to rest. Fabulously friendly staff again. A joy to visit 🙌
2024: Stopped in for a shopping break and had a fab time watching the world go by with one of the locals, who was also having a shopping break - lovely chat, tasty coffee, and friendly staff 🙌

If you’re after a dependable, centrally-located coffee stop in Dublin where you know what to expect, this Starbucks on Westmoreland Street is a safe bet. It’s especially handy when you’re on the go or need somewhere comfortable for a short time. If, however, you’re looking for something quieter, more locally-distinctive, or with more character, you might explore a nearby independent café instead.

This Starbucks is a really nice spot — spacious, comfortable, and with a great view that makes it a relaxing place to sit with a coffee, meet a friend, or get some work done. The layout is open and there’s usually plenty of seating, which is a big advantage compared to smaller cafés in the city.
However, the prices for coffee and other drinks keep climbing, and unfortunately the quality and portion sizes don’t always keep up with the increase. It can feel like you’re paying more but getting a little less than before.
Still, for convenience, atmosphere, and comfort, it’s a solid choice — especially if you value space and a good place to unwind. A bit more consistency between price and product would make it even better.
