SuperValu Lucan in Dublin

Simple... it is great value... does what it says on the tin! SuperValu standards and great choices.

Excellent supermarket. Tidy, clean, and very well stocked. Prices are average, obviously high for Italians.

No complaints about the store itself, and the staff are nice. My main issues is that the bottle Re-Turn machine is never working. For someone walking or cycling to deposit bottles and grab some groceries it is a major inconvenience because your bags are full of bottles. Which means you have no choice but to wait 15-20mins after you mention it to one of the staff in order to be able to do a shop, just drop the bottles for someone else (essentially giving away money), or just going home and shopping somewhere else. Surely some sort of alarm system could be implemented to notify someone that all 3 machines are out of order. It's a terrible system that effects Lidl Ballyowen also. Update (the one out of many potentials) There is yet to be one time where the machines are actually working. Surely with all the money these things are generating for the providers they can equip them with better sensors, or even an app telling you what machines are working. Walking around with a bag of bottles when buying groceries isn’t ideal. Update(one of many I’ve omitted): all 3 out of order again. It’s rarely working. Why bother with these machines..? Really. Now time to cycle off to find one elsewhere, eating more time out of my lunch break and buying my lunch elsewhere as a result.

It's big and I like that the there are other stores close by.
