The Bank on College Green in Dublin

The Bank is the perfect spot for an after work drink or a pre dinner one. The building itself is stunning and would recommend people to visit especially on the run up to Christmas.

Overall pretty good, service wasn’t great though. Dry aged steak was a 10/10, tender and salty. Drinks at the bar were excellent, had a great Shirley Temple. Service wasn’t good at first, but then they sent in a kindly gentleman who offered the kids chocolate. very good overall , big recommend

I added The Bank on College Green to my “Dublin Pub Crawl” list because it was recommended as a stop with unique character, and I have to admit, it definitely delivers on that part. The place looks incredible inside. High ceilings, marble, old bank architecture… the kind of place where you almost expect someone to hand you a loan application with your pint. I walked in wearing a hoodie and sneakers and instantly felt out of place. This place is high scale. Fancy. Classy. Pick your word. Meanwhile, I looked like I had just rolled out of a pub crawl (which, to be fair, I had). So we stayed for one drink and made a graceful exit before someone asked if we were lost. Unfortunately, no Guinness. Based on pictures in other reviews, I didn't realize it would have been an issue. They must have recently took it off tap. I get the whole “support other breweries” angle, but offering me a “Changing Times Clockwork Stout” is not exactly the same experience. To be fair, it was actually pretty good… it just wasn’t Guinness, and that is what I wanted. We did not explore much beyond the bar area because it was clear that this place is more of a restaurant than an actual pub. But if you are into beautiful interior design, history, and feeling like you should suddenly sit up straighter, The Bank delivers. The vibe really is cool, even if you feel underdressed while enjoying it. Overall, it is worth stopping in for one drink just to see the inside, but it is definitely not the casual pub crawl type of place. Consider this the “classy detour” on the list. The one that reminds you you are not as fancy as you think you are 😂

We really liked it. It's not much more expensive than others... and it was worth it. I recommend the seafood pasta. The meat isn't worth it.
