Went to the dragon brunch loved the girls they put on a brilliant show and the drinks were amazing! Food was a bit disappointing but still had a great time!

Petite blonde Lady who was serving yesterday (10.05.26) need to be more explanatory and calmer. I asked her how I can order food and her first reaction was raising her voice saying I cant order food without a table number. Table numbers are not placed on tables and customers should be more informed on how to order food. If you put a menu on a table then you should be able to take orders. That’s not the hungry customers problem. Also food and drinks are already overpriced so you need to be nice to be able to sell them

One of the best pubs in dublin. They host a number of events to suit everyone. Food is delicious and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. 5/5

The food in the Bernard Shaw is great and what really makes our visit special is the helpfulness and warmth of the staff. I would like to specifically mention Laura - whenever they have been there our group has always had a lovely time. Laura makes a point of checking-in to make all is okay and nothing needed and really brightensup our experience. Great place, well worth a visit.

Seemed a little run down, the bathrooms had a strong smell even from the stairs down, the beer tasted a little off and its fairly pricey for a place that didn't have any live music or entertainment.

02/11/2025: Food was pretty decent and a pretty reasonable price. My sandwich only had a single slice of bacon in it but was delicious nonetheless. Newt was over the moon with his beef sandwich and we both enjoyed the pastel de nata, newt was very happy to have a vegan option and I enjoyed my raspberry one. I think my iced chai came from a powder but then I can’t expect a Portuguese cafe to be the experts in chai can I?
31/10/2025: Good not great. I got a chai, the chorizo and cheese sandwich and a chocolate pastel de nata all for €16. Not bad for the price. However the sandwich size was small and could’ve been filled with more chorizo, and the chai was much too milky. The pastel de nata was good! I liked the chocolate touch. The sides were a wee bit burnt, but that’s okay, it was nothing major. Atmosphere was cute and nice for a quick lil solo coffee date, glad I went, but would probably only go back for a pastry

28/09/2025: Our party of 9 had a table booked for main course only tonight. Service was quick, friendly and efficient. The menu had a great range and everyone found something interesting to order. Upstairs a live jazz band was playing which added to the atmosphere, but didn’t overwhelm the conversation at our table. When the food arrived it got a unanimous thumbs up. Throughout the meal our server Bianca regularly checked up on us to make sure all was well and that the drinks were kept topped up as required. A few of us had desserts or tea/coffee afterwards to round off our meals. I highly recommend this gem of a restaurant which has been a part of Dun Laoghaire for as long as I can remember.
