The Best of Italy in Dublin

Beautiful, fabulous shop with every Italian food item imaginable, together with super quality vegetables and a brilliant deli section. Never been there before but I went in at lunchtime today looking for anchovy paste (impossible to find in my own locality of north Wicklow) having consulted Google Maps. Came out with the paste AND a gorgeous portion of beef lasagne which I enjoyed in my car!

Best shop in Dublin hands down. Good value too. Like Camisa and sons in Soho. The jewel in the city's crown 👑

Nice shop. I generally only pop in for lunch. There's a good variety and choice on offer when it comes to lunch options, but I had the misfortune of ordering the chicken caeser salad wrap last week. It wasn't good. The lettuce looked a few days old and the wrap was completely soggy. I think you should have a rethink on this one. Apart from that mess - and the surly red-haired girl's attitude that always prevails - it's an okay place to go. Also, order in more ciabatta. It's always gone. You can't have a spicy salami ciabatta sandwich on a white roll!

Best of Italy is one of those places that, once you discover it, you end up annoyed at yourself for not knowing about it sooner. They have a really cool selection of unique products that you don’t really find elsewhere, along with an excellent fresh fruit and veg section where you can just pick up exactly what you need, whether that’s one carrot, one mushroom, or anything else while passing through. The quality is genuinely great, and the prices for fruit and veg aren’t much more expensive than a normal supermarket. They also have a lovely deli section. The whole place feels like a hidden gem in Dublin. I’d love to see them open another shop in the city centre because it’s the kind of place you usually only hear about if you live nearby.
