You don’t get more Irish than this place. Irish traditional music, the best (voted!) pints of Guinness in Ireland and lots of locals to hang with! Busy but a fun busy! Lots of tourists but that also makes it fun.

A beautiful, typical Irish pub, welcoming and not very popular with tourists. We had an excellent Irish coffee.

What an experience. We arrived at around 5 pm and stayed until late, watching the band gradually grow as more musicians joined throughout the evening. It just got better and better as the night went on.
We were lucky enough to get seats right beside the musicians, which made it an especially memorable experience. The staff were really friendly and the atmosphere was fantastic. An absolute must for anyone looking to experience traditional Irish music in Dublin.

Be aware, they serve no food here. And they don't serve fancy cocktails like espresso martinis (a tourist actually asked for one while I was there). It isn't that kind of pub. If you like to hear good Irish music, though, this is the place. A favorite of locals, but well known by tourists too. The place gets crowded easily. You may have to stand. The music is the draw. There are 2 to 4 sessions per day. Musicians weave in and out of each set. Music is very impromptu. Some sing, some play fiddle, some play tin whistles, guitar, etc. I went twice and would definitely go every night next time I'm in Dublin.
