I couldn't believe I'd never been in here before. A lovely pub.

Pleasant place and warm welcome

We just had the best experience ever at The Confession Box. Monica and Paul were the most amazing combination of hospitality and information. Monica walked me through several things to experience while in Dublin. And, my husband and I will be forever grateful for the kindness they showed to our sons while also providing a good ole’ fashioned “slagging”. The Irish Coffee was also one of best I’ve had while in Ireland! We went in for the history of the bar and ended up getting so much more than expected.

Monica and her staff are fantastic! The welcome is warm, the small bar is very stylish and well-maintained. I highly recommend it; go there, you won't be disappointed. Thank you so much, Monica!

This hidden gem ended up being our favourite place to go in Dublin

Small but mighty! This was a very busy spot when we stopped in for a pint. Our cabbie recommended this spot which was a quick walk from our hotel (Academy Plaza). We had a pint of Guinness and enjoyed the authentic Irish pub vibe.

The staff are very friendly and the ambiance is extremely fitting!

Lovely tiny pub with lots of history and architecture. On 2 floors, used to be 3 but top now used for storage. Old singing barman no longer there. No music, but nice.

A historic pub with an interesting history that's definitely worth exploring. Their whiskey is excellent.
