The Country Bake in Dublin

Visited during the Lobster Festival. The lobster rolls from here are better than the street vendors outside because the buns are better. There's sitting upstairs which was convenient. Didn't enjoy the cookie because it was too hard, but that's because I'm still learning the cookies culture of Ireland. Not the bakery's fault.

Super cosy! The apple 🍎 danish was super delicious as well!! Was looking forward to a danish & it was very nice. And nice cappuccino Very quaint seating upstairs, would be perfect for tea. Can get ‘for here’ cups and plates if you’d like.

I purchased a rhubarb tart and was amazed at how well it was made....perfect even brown colour....light pastry and very well filled.....and heavy to lift too !!! Ive bought a lot of tarts Mrs this and Granny that. etc....this was outstanding and baked on the premises.....Top Marks !

I’ve been here a few times now and it never disappoints. The food is always fresh, really tasty and the coffee is excellent. What really stands out though is the staff. Everyone is so friendly, welcoming and genuinely helpful, which makes the whole experience even better. You can tell they really care about their customers and take pride in what they do. Highly recommend if you’re looking for great food, great coffee and fantastic service. I’ll definitely be back.

We were looking for a place to grab a light lunch on June 10, 2026, and visited after a recommendation from a volunteer at Dalkey Castle. I'm so glad we did! The counter staff were patient and helpful as we tried to decide what to choose, and delicious cheese toasties, a pasty, iced buns, and coffee were thoroughly enjoyed by my family with a lovely view as well. Hopefully we'll be back again. Grab a seat upstairs by a window and dig in!

Their cornish pastry is the best and highly recommended. It is definitely way much better compared to the cornish pastry I bought in Cornwall. The filling was not bland at all and had a superb mix of protein, peas, and corn. I'm not a fan of peas, but they were able to make the filling so tasty and balance at the same time. I'm happy to come back and enjoy their cornish pastry again! On a sunny afternoon, I ordered an "iced" chocolate (not hot chocolate). It was not on their menu and the staff was a bit confused at first, but then they tried to accommodate my request and served a great beverage (you guys should make this option permanent, I believe a lot of customers will love it! 🙂). Great food, great beverage and attentive staffs, what can I ask more? Highly recommend everyone who visits Dalkey to try this place!!👏🏻👏🏻

Lovely Cornish pastries and nice spot upstairs to relax

There cakes look lovely in fairness. But there vegetarian breakfast is not nice. The potato cakes had no flavour tastless and dry. They should just do a hash brown. Disappointing.
