The Dean is such a cool and modern venue to photograph. The interiors are stylish and full of character, with great light and loads of interesting backdrops. It has a really fun, relaxed vibe, and the staff are friendly and easy to work with, which makes the day flow smoothly. I loved photographing here and would highly recommend it to any couple looking for something a bit different and full of personality. Deirdre Deirdre Rusk Photography

I was in Dublin for the night on business, staying at Dean Dublin on Harcourt Street. As a Limerick blow-in, I loved being right in the middle of the city. The hotel has a really slick vibe and a cool atmosphere that feels fresh and lively. My room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The rooftop bar, Sophie’s, was a nice spot to unwind and take in the city view. And of course, the shower was brilliant — the shampoo and conditioner smelled amazing and left my hair feeling soft and fresh. A proper little treat for a one-night stay.

We had our civil wedding ceremony at The Dean Hotel in September, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From start to finish, the hospitality and flexibility of the entire team were outstanding. GM Dave and the events team were an absolute pleasure to work with—professional, warm, and incredibly accommodating—making the whole planning process feel effortless. The venue itself was exactly what we were looking for: upscale yet cosy, with a welcoming atmosphere that made our day feel both special and comfortable. We stayed overnight, and our room was excellent—beautifully designed, quiet, and the perfect place to unwind after a big day. The food after the ceremony was fantastic, and the breakfast the next morning was just as good. We would happily recommend The Dean Hotel to anyone looking for a stylish, intimate venue paired with genuinely brilliant service. It was everything we hoped for and more - 5 stars.

Visited during Storm Claudia so not the best to see the outdoor Balcony area!! There for dinks & Dinner. They don’t have any Paddy Whiskey nor Smirnoff Vodka, Nor Malibu Rum no Pineapple juice. Very limited on Cocktails. A choice of only 5/6. Only 1 Fish dish, but Food well presented and very good. Staff very good and friendly. Just one thing; when you are putting tables together to facilitate 6, please make sure they are the same table top level. The Bar area: you can only sit at the Bar. It could really do with more tables, especially when asked to give back Table. Perhaps you could also have a bit of Map pointing out places of interest from the 180 view. I think it would add to the experience.

Service was exceptional. Dave was wonderful—he shared some great tips and made me feel completely at home. It felt like chatting with an old friend. The room was lovely as well. I didn’t have any issues with noise. I must have been on the other side of the club, though I was on the 4th floor, just below The Sophie. There was some construction, but it was quite minimal considering the circumstances. Being from New York, I’m used to constant horn honking, alarms, and the general white noise of city life—so it actually felt pretty still to me. (LOVE HOW NO ONE SEEMS TO HONK HERE. so refreshing!!! I was pleasantly surprised, especially since the listing mentioned possible noise and even provided earplugs. If you’re staying in a city, you should always anticipate a bit of background sound—it’s just part of the experience. Oh if you do come, bring a swim suit and make sure to book some time at the pool and sauna. It was quite peaceful and lovely, and nice to have to oneself since the pool is quite small and laps are only a few strokes, but it felt good!

Having been to The Dean for a hen party a few years ago, I thought this would be a good place to stay for the weekend while visiting friends local to the area. However, I should have read the previous reviews before booking. The Dean is unfortunately overpriced for what it is. No daily housekeeping (made clear by the dust bunnies all over the room when I checked in), no space to put luggage, and worst of all - not quiet enough to sleep at night. On arrival I asked the front desk whether my room was in then quietest part of the hotel and they mumbled something about nightlife, and made to show me my room in the townhouse - and were many meters ahead of me down Harcourt Street while I struggled with my luggage to keep up. They simply pointed out the directions and didn’t bother to offer any other help. Not exactly what you’d expect from a 4* hotel. The bed was comfortable but unfortunately I didn’t sleep a wink due to a wedding happening over the weekend. Surely the front desk should have mentioned this when I asked for a quiet room! I might have then been able to cancel my booking and stay at another hotel. The Dean offered me one complimentary breakfast for my 3-night stay, but honestly I feel like I should have been refunded at least one night’s stay. That’s the last time I ever prepay for a hotel! I also found it strange that rather than putting a hold on my card for €50 per night as a deposit, they actually charged my card when I checked in!! I was there over the weekend and they took my card to refund the money, but who knows if/ when that’ll show up. Overall, this hotel is fine if you need a place to crash if you’re clubbing next door, or if you are attending a wedding - just don’t expect a restful night of sleep :(

Always enjoy a stay at The Dean. Isn't the quietest of hotels, but somehow that never matters here.

We had an early flight in and the staff were great. They upgraded us to a bigger room and checked us in early. The hotel is located walking distance from lots of different sites and the train station if you're leaving the city. Their restaurant and bar are very convenient as well.

Supermac's & Papa John's

25/01/2026: This is what Irish fast food should be like. The atmosphere is so charmingly retro; many a renovated McDonald's could learn a thing or two. It feels like stepping back into your childhood. And then there's the super friendly staff and the delicious food. We were thrilled.
23/01/2026: Amazing place, better than Macdonalds (try the chicken nuggets they are amazing!)

Golden World

17/01/2026: Nicest chunky chicken in tallaght, not too oily
14/12/2025: Ordered from here a good few times now, the food is always really nice & fresh(curry & satay sauce are unreal) chips are always fresh never reheats like other takeaways in the area. Only reason for 4 stars is the delivery sometimes takes a bit too long.
