The Dropping Well in Dublin

We just held my son's 30th birthday party in one of the function rooms here. Beautiful room, excellent bar service, very helpful staff. Highly recommend for group gatherings. 70 people in attendance and all raving about the venue! Thanks to Trish and staff.

Always go here for food , normally fantastic. Unfortunately, on this occasion the food was poor - cold and not up to standard at all. What has happened??

We had the pleasure of working with Trish and her team on a recent fundraising event. To say they went above and beyond to help us set up , clean up and have a wonderfully successful quiz is an understatement. Nothing was too big an ask! From welcoming many of the attendees before whom joined early to get their dinner, to facilitating all and any request from the bar from attendees nothing was too much at all. Even bringing cocktail requests from upstairs down to our guests to make sure everyone was happy. The staff were kind, calm, accommodating and went above and beyond! We may have to make it our yearly fundraiser fixture! Thank you to everyone in the dropping well it was a barking success!!! Also as a magical touch the venue is dog friendly and welcomes all paws and feet!

Good food, friendly staff and lovely atmosphere plus parking simply a must visit, will definitely be back.

One of my fav place to dine food is delicious😘

A good experience, nice menu options, staff pleasant and service fast. Food was tasty and the place is nice to be in. One note is that I was astonished by the prices, 15-20% more than I was expecting for most dishes. A smallish extra veg as a side was €5.80 and an extra bit of gravy was added to the bill at €2.50, when you are already in for €26.50 for a beef roast, you would not be expecting such expensive add ons. Enjoyed the food and service but would not rate it as value and probably wouldn’t return until the business model and pricing is fixed.

The food was exceptional.. thanks to all for your great service on a very sad day made it a tad easier
