The best roast in south dublin, the beef was tender and the accompaniments were delicious. The host Trish is the best I’ve seen. We’ve been back about 5 times as she’s so welcoming and the food is delicious!

The Dropping Well is a lovely establishment, situated beside a river and it's own carpark alongside. We had a meal there in a area overlooking the river, the staff were fantastic, very helpful and friendly. The food was excellent and good value.

I recently had my Birthday party in the Dropping Well, in the Dodder room upstairs. It was perfect!! Trish took care of us the whole night, and was very attentive. Thanks!

Lovely spot for some for some lunch or dinner. Make sure to book a table of you're coming on the weekend, it can get busy. Food was very nice and loved the atmosphere.

19/05/2026: Very busy but didn't wait long to be seated, get drinks at the bar and the server promptly took our order. Good food. Friendly staff.
18/05/2026: A very nice bar, but also very large. Live music starts at 8:30 pm. The atmosphere was lovely and the restrooms were very clean.
