This cosy bar in a prime location was a welcome find. Most central bars were packed on St Patrick’s weekend so we were delighted to finally secure a table. It’s a classic establishment with the usual menu and reasonable prices for the area.

We stumbled upon this bar. It's a typical, clean place with a great atmosphere. The food is good quality and fresh. The prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend it.

Stumbled across the place as we were after a “big lunch” as we were flying late that evening. The menu is a series of pub classics like pie & mash, bangers & mash so was an obvious choice for us. When we sat down our waiter said they had a Roast Special on as it was Sunday and we were sold. Roast Beef special was great, very tasty and very filling. We ordered two fantas, a Guinness and two roasts and the bill came to €54 which we feel was reasonable in the heart of Dublin. Highly recommend. Reservation wasn’t required, dining Sunday at 1PM.

Food was average. The special of the day chicken club sandwich the chicken wasn't fresh. Guinness pie had very little meat and no taste of Guinness. Food definitely not fresh . We were so disappointed. Floor staff service lovely.

The Guinness Beef was quite watery and the Seafood Chowder not up to scratch but the service eas very fine and the pub itself nice and genuine. Would I go there again? Perhaps. I enjoyed the laid bach atmosphere and the spacious layout.

Beanhive Coffee

07/09/2025: Beanhive? More like Queuehive. This place should hand out sleeping bags with every order, because you’ll be here long enough to consider filing for squatter’s rights. I waited so long for a sandwich I started a new life, paid taxes, and raised a family in the queue. And yet… when it finally landed in front of me, it was incredible. Annoyingly good. The kind of sandwich that makes you angry because you can’t even stay mad at it. So yeah, Beanhive on Dawson Street: where time stands still, staff move at the speed of interpretive dance, and the food is frustratingly delicious.
