The Duke in Dublin

Nice spot and liked it a lot until yesterday when they got angry at my friend for eating chips from elsewhere because their kitchen was closed.

Family and I went there just last week. The food, atmosphere, staff were all excellent. The owner, Kearon(not spelled correctly) was an excellent and friendly host. Took the time to talk with us and actually served us. Had the Irish stew with lamb and wife had Fish & Chips. You can't go wrong with either. It is a must place to go to when in Dublin. Don't forget the Guinness.

Excellent pub! The pints were great and the atmosphere was really pleasant. But the highlight was João, the waiter — outstanding service, super friendly and genuinely nice.

Oisin bartender / server was a great lad. Really improved our experience for the night.

A young Turkish worker helped us a lot, thank you very much.

Everything was perfect!!! Fresh salmon toast and excellent fish soup enjoyed at the counter. Super helpful staff.

The service at this place is great! We were seated immediately and the wait staff kept an eye on my drink to keep me topped up. The food came within 10 minutes and the drinks within 5. We had a roast and a beef pie. The food was great! It was busy but not over crowded, so it was easy to talk and just relax with a quiet ale! Recommend this place to get off the tourist strip!

A great place to eat authentic Irish food in a relaxed atmosphere (I tried it on a Saturday lunchtime, and it wasn't crowded). The beer is good, the service is impeccable and attentive, and the food... YUM! I discovered Irish Beef Stew there, which was extraordinary, flavorful, hot, and incredibly comforting. In short, don't hesitate to check out this excellent place.
