The George in Dublin

I went on Sunday and I liked it; they have bingo as an extra activity. I was expecting a bit more from the show, since they don't sing live.

The drag show was funny. It also felt like a safe space to have some drinks.

First time we went here it was great! They played absolute bangers, even music you don't regularly hear in the club. The drinks were great! We ordered two cocktails and you could really see the bartender liked working there. I looked for a tip jar but couldn't find one, recommend putting one next to the bar! The toilets were clean and the overall vibe was awesome. Second night we went it was a little busier than the night before. This time we ordered two jagermeister shots, quite disappointed with it being served warm. Then we go to the dance floor and find its mostly kpop music. Honestly the whole time we were there we heard one lady Gaga song and then it went back to kpop. Kind of ruined the vibe for us so we went home. Overall tho I would recommend going here.

Such a wonderful beacon of hope, love, and art. The joy and the history of The George hade dancing all night. Kind staff , exceptional drag, and history wove a beautiful tapestry or queer resilience in Dublin.

I honestly can’t thank The George Dublin enough! ❤️ My boyfriend and I visited twice during our week break in Dublin, and it quickly became one of our favourite places. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere was amazing, everyone was in great spirits, and the drinks were such good value considering you’re right in the heart of Dublin. Every visit was full of good vibes, and it genuinely made our trip even more memorable. When I got back to the UK, I realised I’d lost my Pandora charm bracelet that I’d been collecting charms for over 13 years. I was absolutely devastated. About a week later, I decided to message The George, not expecting anything to come of it. To my surprise, they replied almost immediately to say that a bracelet had been handed in! After sending them a few photos to confirm it was mine, they kindly posted it all the way back to my home in the UK. Just two days later, it was back with me just after a week. It’s so rare to come across such genuine honesty and kindness. Not only did we have fantastic service, an incredible atmosphere and great-value drinks, but the team also went above and beyond to reunite me with something that means the world to me. A huge thank you to everyone at The George. You’ve given us memories we’ll never forget, and your kindness has meant more than you’ll ever know. We will 100% be back on our next trip to Dublin, and I’ll be recommending The George to everyone I know who’s planning a visit. A great experience and an excellent bar for Dublin’s gay nightlife. I felt right at home!

Been going here for years but lately it’s disappointing it’s like they don’t know their audience. The drag queens play great music but as soon as the other dj takes over everyone around me complains the music is crap. We left early last night to go somewhere else because of this
