The Gibson Hotel in Dublin

Great location and service. Friendly and efficient staff. Blocked sink in the bedroom wasn't nice and limited TV channels made me give 4 stars instead of 5 for room.

If you are going to a gig in the 3 Arena you have to stay in the Gibson...brilliant

Excellent hotel Stayed here many moons ago Only one issue: - When we arrived after our long journey we looked for a table for food but it was all booked up. The staff tried valiantly but too no avail so Eddie rockets it was then !!! Perhaps a table could be on stand by for guests or a prompt from reservations or reception that the food hall was busy and would you like a time booked for you

Very disappointing experience! Checked in at 3:45pm to be told our room wasn’t ready. No apology or compensation was given. And check in is normally 3pm so we gave plenty time. We were told to go to the bar if we wanted food or drinks no compensation for that either. So we waited the hour to be told again our room is still not ready! At this point it’s 4:45pm what a joke! We had a reservation at 6pm that we still had to get ready for. The supervisor came out and then told us our room was ready but no reason why there was a delay, apology or compensation. Ridiculous service. Would have appreciated more communication. I’ve stayed here a handful of times and had nothing but great experiences but this one was very disappointing!

It was great. Very clean, comfortable bed, nice size room and bathroom. Lovely staff. Lovely bar in the groundfloor. Perfect location for us as the tram is just outside the hotel and it is a quieter area than just right in the center

It's in a prime location obviously which is it's biggest incentive. Room & bed was clean and comfortable. The toilets near the lobby however were absolutely filthy and I'm quite shocked at how bad of a state they were in for such a reputable hotel. Had a couple of drinks in the hotel bar after a gig and the bar was packed which included what seemed to be a large Christmas party group. There was zero staff to be seen in the lobby area which I thought was odd. Half way through the evening went to use the toilets by the lobby and they were beyond filthy, it was clear those toilets had not been checked or attended to the whole evening. No tissue in the dispensers by the sinks and both cubicles and bins overflowing with used tissues and other items. I would have reported the condition of the toilets to a member of staff in reception if there was one!

The hotel was pleasant and easily accessible, opposite the tram stop, which unfortunately wasn't running during our stay… The service was excellent, and the breakfast was good!

Grateful for the hotel rescheduling due to family bereavement when originally booked for. The hotel is the perfect location for the 3arena but unfortunately there was nothing on or no Luas running when we were staying - obviously out of the hotels control. The main restaurant where First Dates is on is only open if something is on in the 3arena? The room is basic enough, very hard to get the temperature comfortable in the room and couldn’t leave the patio door open at night to cool the room down due to very loud fan or something outside. Not great soundproofing from outside either - woken up by the seagulls so not a great place to stay if hoping for a lie in. Nice shower. Overall, don’t think I would rebook here as quite basic and didn’t sleep great due to temperature in the room and the fan not cooling it down. The TV also didn’t work at all - no channels or even an option to connect the tv to the wifi for YouTube or Netflix.

Right next to the 3ARENA. Ideal if attending a concert etc.

We had a wonderful stay at The Gibson Hotel. The rooms were modern, clean, and very comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our visit. The location is perfect, with great transport links and plenty of things to do nearby. Overall, a great experience. We would definitely stay again!
