First time staying at the Gibson and I was pleasantly surprised at home spacious the rooms are. I brought my daughter to see the Deftones play and decided to make a night of it. I booked this hotel due to it's closed proximity to the 3arena but didn't realise how close! It is literally a stones throw away from the venue. The only gripe I had was that two of the bath towels and stains in them and the shower head was broken which was a little off putting but overall the staff and facilities were great.

The only hotel I love to stay in . Friendly, great atmosphere and the staff are so welcoming and friendly. Jerry at reception is so welcoming and has the most wonderful manners. Eric in the bar is also an amazing gentleman, so friendly and helpful and always has a welcoming smile , that’s the reason I live the Gibson hotel. We always have an amazing time and can’t wait to be back in April for 2 nights . Thank you for another amazing stay .

We had an amazing time at the Gibson, the room was lovely. We requested a room with a tub and were not disappointed. The shower was also a good size. We used the bar and also had room service and it was so handy after our concert only having to go across the way to be back in the hotel. I’m quite a cold person and the room and hotel were also warm enough, especially given how cold it has been lately. The breakfast was lovely and the staff friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay again !

I’ve stayed at The Gibson multiple times over the years and it’s always a pleasant experience, and this time was no different. Though I did note a few things that could be improved; - My biggest complaint is the lack of vegetarian options. My partner is vegetarian and he was extremely limited with what he could eat as there was only ONE vegetarian option on the menu, the pubs in our small town have more than that, he ended up going with a pasta dish but without the parmesan as even though it’s cheese it’s not vegetarian. Please add more vegetarian options. - The shower in the accessible room was great, my only suggestion would be to add an additional railing to it so that whoever is using the shower seat has rails on both sides of them, I was lucky that my right side is my strongest as I had plenty to grab onto, but someone who’s left side is their strongest would probably find it a lot more difficult. - No smart TVs?

There was so a few things wrong with our room. The heating didnt work, the shower products didn't work I. E the shower gel didn't pump out product, I didnt bring any with me as I thought the room would be supplied with it. The balcony door was locked, I paid extra for this feature. The room felt a bit dirty, wasn't cleaned 100%. Don't bother asking for the package "a little thing called love" which was €60 extra, all you got was a cheap bottle of prosecco, a balloon, so petals on the bed and 4 macaroons... I also paid €50 for a upgrade to a king executive suite, it wasnt worth the money, as I said the room wasnt at its high standard as to what you would expect an executive room to be at. Also the TV was awful, this might sound petty but was 4 star hotel doesnt have a smart TV in the there room.... Also we were moved to a different room at 2am, the second room was better and was a down grade but was way better then the executive suite

The hotel is fine. What is beyond my understanding is the fact that you pay €300 a night and they still charge you €25 for parking. This is pure greed. Very disappointed.

We loved our visit and our room, the executive suite was brilliant and spacious, with our own balcony. The best part of our stay was Gerry the Concierge. He was delightful and funny and we will remember him forever.

Morrisseys Pub Dublin

12/10/2025: No matter who you are or where your from, you will always be welcomed, by both staff and patrons, you would enjoy the friendly atmosphere, and the patrons are not shy, they love having the crack,( laugh), and will get up and sing and dance, You wouldn't be left sitting on your own, for their Irish nature would welcome you into their company, and the stories they could tell you about their lives, they would have you in stitches laughing, but they would respect it if you just wanted to sit by yourself to have a quiet drink, they wouldn't take offence, they would just have their Irish friendly nature The owner and bar staff are the same, friendly welcoming, and treat everyone the same, whether your a local or visitor, many years ago I was a landlady of a bar, and had lots of staff, although some where good, but nothing compared to the staff they're, everyone if them are professional, friendly, and courteous, this is why the patrons respect them all, and it believe because of the staff, the pub is still in the area, where there were lots of pubs on that street and this is the only one that still remains open, I've seen people coming in that where either holiday makers or new to the area, that would pop in, intended just to have one drink to see what it was like, and they would end up staying for the night, they had that much fun, because of the staff and patrons down to earth personalities A good idea to try ring to find out what night they have entertainment, as you will certainly enjoy the atmosphere

03/11/2025: My go to whenever I'm back in Dublin. Staff are always so friendly, real Dubs a heart of the community. I'm a scaldy Corkonian and introduced people in the area I stay with to go there for our cures when I visit after living around the corner. Always meet the standards of what you want with attention to detail, great value and service.
