The Laurels in Dublin

Lovely place, great staff and. Very good food

A bit noisy here but it is a large area with several bars. Very friendly staff who really make sure that the guests are comfortable. The food is very good in relation to what it costs. I have heard that the food at Da Paolo in Curracloe Beach, which has new owners from 2026, will have even better burgers.

Today I visited The Laurels. It is not my first time here, and until now I have always been satisfied with the service. Unfortunately, today I was very disappointed. I ordered a medium steak, but it was not cooked medium at all. At the beginning I asked for water, but it was never brought to the table. We finished our meal and paid, but the water still never arrived. There were also no cutlery on the table, so I had to go and get it myself. At the same time, the staff were calmly drinking tea instead of paying attention to the customers. Today’s experience left me very disappointed, which is a shame because my previous visits here were always good.

Very good food, good quantity for the money. Live performance with band, it was very nice.

Went to The Laurels after a food recommendation. Nearly every table was reserved but luckily we got there early so would be finished before the reservation time. We sat in the upper section. . When I went to get a drink I needed to go to the lower bar as the upper bar had nobody there just 3 lounge girls waiting themselves. Food was fine but nothing outstanding. I upgraded my side to bacon and cheese fries which I was really dissapointed with. Large bacon chunks under cooked with large amounts of fat. Korean chicken burger was nice but only a tiny bit of sauce on the bun. And zero condiments available or brought to table.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, well worth a visit

Its great, good food, good mood, and I will be back there, a very nice place, everyone is interested in whether you like it, a bit pricey, but it is Laurels, a large selection of wines and drinks, very nice interior design, I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to have fun

Had a few beers in here during the day Went back to hotel and met a work colleague then came a staff change over in the evening and one particular member of staff basically refused to serve us but the reason being was he said we had had enough to drink. Never took the time to let me explain i have a bad hip and limp after walking or maybe it was the English accent i guess i will never know. its a shame as is a very nice pub but certain members of staff need to learn some manners.
