The Merry Cobbler in Dublin

We went here for lunch with a group of friends and I had the chance to try the "Chicken Pie" for the first time 🥧🍗 I have no other comparison but I have to say that the flavor was excellent and the dish was well presented. Affordable prices and a wide selection of beers as always in Ireland 🇮🇪☘️🍺 The guy who served us was kind, answered all our questions and made us feel at ease. The place and the neighborhood are very nice and clean, if you are staying in the Sandymount area and surrounding areas I recommend it, it's right next to the beautiful St. Matthews Church ⛪

Had such a lovely experience at The Merry Cobbler! After a beautiful walk with our dog, we were so happy to find somewhere genuinely dog friendly and welcoming. The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating, making sure both we and our pup felt comfortable from the moment we arrived. The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was warm and relaxed, and it made the whole outing even more special. It’s rare to find a place that combines great food with such thoughtful hospitality. We’ll definitely be back!

Decent pub grub & great service. Our whole group enjoyed their lunch & beer in a nice quiet corner so we could all chat without interfering with other regulars. I was recommended the toasted cheese & ham sandwich which was delicious & so meaty & cheesy. The lager was great too. Before going here we talked to the local community centre and staff at the adjoining Church who said that it was a good place to eat. We were glad we went with their advice.

Friendly staff, with a tradition pub feel. Little nooks separate the areas and break up the space. Came here for lunch and had the delicious chicken pie, as recommended by the staff. A delicious open pie crust with creamy and cheesy sauce, chicken and broccoli.

This is a great bar 10 minutes walk to the Aviva so great for pre match beers. It's the opposite side of the stadium to Ballsbridge so it's busy but nont manic. Great attentive staff and a solid pint of Guinness

The Merry Glober is a brilliant spot in Dublin! Authentic Irish pub atmosphere with friendly staff and good drinks. Perfect place to enjoy a pint and soak up the local vibe. The crowd is welcoming and it has that genuine Dublin charm. Definitely worth a visit!
