A great little pub with a very tasty food menu. A stones throw from the Aviva too. Awesome pint of Guinness served.

Great Irish pub with upstairs rooms that were clean and tidy bit a little small. Ideal for a single night stay.

A great place to stay with excellent bus connections right outside! The rooms are small but perfectly formed and surprisingly quiet, even though they're directly above the pub. The bus takes you to the city center in less than 20 minutes. Like so much in Dublin, this accommodation is relatively expensive, but still good value compared to other options.

Service was great! Pub is very nice and traditional. The room is small but very serviceable. Bed is comfortable and the room and bath were clean and updated to modern amenities. As far as location, it's not right in the thick of things, but if you're comfortable walking a mile or two, you can get there. For us, it was near a cafe, a tesco express, a lovely park, and some old churches, and lovely side streets, which is all we needed. Plus a nice pub below! Live music on weekends. It got a little loud in the evening with even a brawl or two heard outside. Honestly, it added to the ambience. We very much enjoyed our stay.

We went here for lunch with a group of friends and I had the chance to try the "Chicken Pie" for the first time 🥧🍗 I have no other comparison but I have to say that the flavor was excellent and the dish was well presented. Affordable prices and a wide selection of beers as always in Ireland 🇮🇪☘️🍺 The guy who served us was kind, answered all our questions and made us feel at ease. The place and the neighborhood are very nice and clean, if you are staying in the Sandymount area and surrounding areas I recommend it, it's right next to the beautiful St. Matthews Church ⛪

Had such a lovely experience at The Merry Cobbler! After a beautiful walk with our dog, we were so happy to find somewhere genuinely dog friendly and welcoming. The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating, making sure both we and our pup felt comfortable from the moment we arrived. The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was warm and relaxed, and it made the whole outing even more special. It’s rare to find a place that combines great food with such thoughtful hospitality. We’ll definitely be back!

Friendly staff, with a tradition pub feel. Little nooks separate the areas and break up the space.
Came here for lunch and had the delicious chicken pie, as recommended by the staff. A delicious open pie crust with creamy and cheesy sauce, chicken and broccoli.
