I knew from minute I walked in I loved the Movement studio. The team are so warm, friendly and super sound and make you feel so welcome. The standard of training, expertise and guidance is next level and the team are so considerate of their members, and their members own unique needs. I can see and feel my body progressing week by week and getting stronger and my mobility has increased too. Joining the Movement Studio is the best decisions I have ever made.

I'm now 6 months in to my Movement Studio membership and I can't imagine going anywhere else. I've never been a 'gym bunny' but wanted to build strength and increase my mobility. This is a lovely supportive place with great coaches who genuinely care about your success. Week on week I see incremental wins and am now achieving things I thought I'd never do. All while having a bit of a laugh along the way!

Really great team here, they take a real interest in your progress and give a lot of thought to evolving the sessions so that it stays interesting. Not having been a gym person I wasn't sure that I would take to it, but 18 months later I would never leave. Keep it up, guys (and gals)!

I have just finished my 28 days of movement and I am so happy I have found such an amazing place. I have worked hard and enjoyed every session. I feel stronger and more flexible, more confident and grounded. I have surprised myself at my progress in a short time. I’ve joined as a member now and am so grateful to have found the wonderful coaches and community at Movement Studio. I wish I had started ages ago but I’m here now!

I trained in The Movement Studio for a year. I am 53 and have tried every format of training (general gym membership, “big gym” classes, personal training, remote personal training, F45, and other small class-based gyms). Honestly, I made more progress on strength, mobility and, just as importantly, knowledge and experience on how to train and build strength in the year in MooStu than any other period of time in my life. When I joined, I had a lot of shoulder pain due to some rotator cuff tears which really held me back for the previous 6 months or so. While I had to be careful (in case my physio is reading this!) after 3 or 4 months I suddenly realised this wasn’t really an issue anymore! It wasn’t down to any specific training (but the team did coach me through how to be careful) but just down to the general benefits of focusing on the correct technique and slow steady improvement. Critically for me, the class format and variety also made it easier to stick to the habit of showing up 3-4, somtimes even 5 times each week, thanks to the great coaches and friendly like-minded people to train with. This is not the traditional strength/cardio circuit training setup you see in most of the small gym formats. There is a bit (sorry Andy, a lot!) more science and thinking behind the training. The team works in long term (eg 3 month) cycles where you slowly but surely build strength and capability. There are no “workouts of the month!” Sometimes it feels too easy and you might be tempted to ask “where’s the pump?” Trust the process. For the first time in my life, after many attempts, I could do multiple pull-ups and chin-ups. Why am I not still going? I live quite a distance from Terenure and ultimately life, family and commute meant I couldn’t fit it in. My only complaint is they haven’t opened a MooStu in Dalkey/Dun Laoghaire area (yet). Also, Andy makes a mean double espresso too! “Specialty” coffee shops take note.

Can’t speak highly enough of this place. Previous member for 6 years. The coaches were a great bunch who were committed to furthering their knowledge and passing it on to the students. A personal highlight for me was Richie’s Monday lower body strength class. He is a legend of a man whose infectious nature gets an extra 10% out of all his students. I attended numerous workshops here and took some valuable info from all of them, often at no charge. Andy, the coach/owner sets the tone for this place and by god does he set it well. There’s more to Movement Co than just training, but your strength levels will most certainly thank you for signing up.

SLICE

08/09/2024: All menu items sound delish. The brunch hash brown dish was very good. Service was attentive once we asked for a table (a number of staff walked past us when we were waiting to be added to the list, so we had to stop someone).
06/09/2024: Fantatsic cafe located in Stonybatter. One of the best in Dublin. Friendly staff and tasty food!
