The Norseman in Dublin

So how do you choose a pub in Dublin whilst waiting to go see the rugby game (yes... France won that day !!) ? Well hard to choose... all the pubs in the Temple Bar area seem fantastic... so you trust your instinct... and you go to the Norseman .... and with that, you can't get it wrong. Really beautiful decor... a classic pub... heartwarming and with brilliant energy. The staff was extremely friendly ... beer was great... and we had a couple of burgers which hit the spot.... all that with live music ! A great way and place to wait for the match .... and what a game it was... a great Irish team... which made the France victory that more meaningful (yes... I am French :) To the Norseman... thanks for having us and showing how welcoming Dublin and Ireland are. Really looking forward to coming back

Great live music with an excellent lunch

Truly typical Irish pub offering live music which is often accompanied by a nice beer. Location in the Temple Bar area with standard prices for the area (not low), really nice location typical of Irish pubs. Every evening offers different musical genres. Excellent service and also the quality of the products is really high, I highly recommend this place which had become a certainty during my holiday!

We stayed above the bar. The noise from the bar was loud at night. They provided earplugs

Stopped in for lunch on a Friday. The food was very good and there was an excellent musician playing. I asked the bartender about other places with music and dancing and he very kindly walked me down the block to point out another establishment that we could check out. Much appreciated!

Cozy atmosphere, very tasty food. Fast service, not very personal service, but that did not detract from the experience. Nice live music! Price/quality ratio was also good!

My favourite pub in Temple Bar! Great friendly staff, live music every day we visited from 12pm and knock up a really decent burger. Not too crowded but busy with a good atmosphere! Tried my first pint of Guinness here too, so one to remember!

One of the pubs we visited, mainly because of live music going on in the pub. We tried Irish coffee here and it was good (bit on the strong side, but just right). Comparing to some other pubs we went by, this one wasn't to overcrowded and we were able to get a free table to sit (or we came by just the right time) and enjoy the live music, by singer Robin J. Hurt, with many Irish songs and some popular songs, check him out. :)

A great pub in an ideal location. Reasonably priced pints with a great atmosphere.
