We sat outside on Saturday evening and there was a great atmosphere! The people were great and so was the Guinness!

Went there for the food shown in other reviews during lunch time. They don't serve the big traditional dishes anymore and switched to just a sandwich menu. We were a little disappointed because that was just explained after we asked them a second time.

A great Dublin pub. The Smithwicks was beautiful, which can be hard to find. Great atmosphere and very friendly staff.

We were in this pub in the afternoon and were lucky to get a table. The service is nice and accommodating. There were around 8 types of beer on tap and several from bottles. We had Guinness and Oharas. For dinner we had the soup of the day and smoked salmon. The portions are sufficient and you will feel full. The atmosphere is great and highly recommended, but the tables were quite small.

Wir waren von einer Schiffsreise im Jahr 2023 das erste Mal in Dublin und hatten bei unserer Bus-Tour 1 Std. 'Freigang' ;-) Molly Malone war Pflicht UND der Gang in einem nahe gelegenen Pub ... what else. Das Guinness war spitze (logisch, Dublin halt) aber die Fish & Chip's waren der ÜBERHAMMER !!! DAS alleine war Anlass genug, im Jahr 2024 den Urlaub in Irland zu verbringen. Na gut, Irland hat es uns auch einwenig angetan ;-))) Kaum im Hotel angekommen, war natürlich der erste Weg ins Old Stand. WHAAAAAT ??? Keine Fish & Chip's mehr ??? Ok, dann halt Sandwiches :-( WOW, super lecker und immer frisch !!! Wir waren JEDEN Tag mindestens 2-3 Mal im Old Stand und wer da so oft hin geht, kann nicht falsch liegen ;-) 'Soup of the day' und 'Club Sandwich' sind ein MUSS zu einem perfekt gezapftes Guinness. Tuvimos un gran tiempo sentado al aire libre bajo el sol en este pub justo en el centro de Dublín. Buenas bebidas (el café irlandés fue el mejor que tuve en nuestro viaje) Aperol Spritz y Guinness era genial también. . nos sentamos aquí por unas horas y absorbimos el ambiente! Dentro es solo un pub estándar de Dublín, pero un buen lugar cuando está soleado ☀️
