Folks - do not miss this place!! We had a lovely drink in the traditional bar before we were taken to our table. A simple set menu for €85/head. Choice of 1/5 starters and 1/4 mains followed be desert 1/5. Loads of ‘canapés’ between each course. This place really REALLY surprised me! 5 stars all the way. A really magnificent spot. You must go!!

Amazing place! The tasting menu was excellent, one of the best meals I've had. Nice selection of options for each course. Great service but also very relaxed and not overly formal. Would love to go back. Need to book far in advance if you are only in the area for a short holiday.

First time visiting the Olde Glen Bar, enjoyed the great food & drink. Class atmosphere and the waiters Emma and Selia were excellent from when we arrived until we left. We'll be back soon 👍

The place is one of the loveliest I've seen in Ireland. The food was very cheap, though the huge quantities, and was good. Very good was the service as well, because the staff was very friendly and nice. I loved it

Ardagh

26/06/2026: What an excellent stay we had at the Ardagh Hotel. The rooms were excellent, the food and service was fantastic. We had some complexity getting taxis home from Clifton and their receptionist came in without asking and picked us up. Really well run Hotel. Highly recommended!
06/06/2026: Loved our stay here so much we extended it. So relaxing from the moment we arrived. Staff are all excellent warm, attentive but always understated. You feel very well looked after but you are always given space. Everything is spotless, decor is beautiful...a lot of thought and care has gone into it. A relaxing inviting lounge area, a big turf fire, eclectic mix of artwork, and interesting ornaments. A beautiful dining area with views over the sea, and a delicious dinner menu made for the most romantic memorable meal. Our dog was welcomed and we were never made to feel it was an inconvenience. Similarly the place is not overrun by pets and wouldn't disturb others. Can't wait to to go back ...thank you to you all
