The Penny Hill in Dublin

Visited first time during Easter weekend and loved the place.

Not my local, but well worth the walk(exercise to get there) and enjoy the wonderful, service and meet up with family and friends. I often make a day of it and get a taxi home.

Good food steaks are fantastic. Service and bar staff are excellent. New carvery upstairs is very good.

I was here on a Thursday eve after work and it was quite pleasant, I've been before over weekends and I didn't enjoy it, I think if you're going to drink and party weekends are fab but if you're there for a meal not so much. But anyway so Thursday was lovely though, good happy service and the atmosphere seemed alright, I was also in good company though, so hard to not enjoy the atmosphere. I had the prawn curry, coming from Durban (South Africa) where curry is spicy, this was not a good one for me as I found it quite bland. All my friends really enjoyed their meals though, a mix of steaks, some brie, wings etc. Apple crumble for desert was tops!

We have five peoples having a dinner , the total price is 119.9 dollars, each person about €20 including drinks. Great food and great serving , I will recommend my other friends next time.

Always have a great experience dining here. It's great value and the food is amazing. The Christmas decorations are very nice. There are always great deals here and the steak is amazing here on steak night. Tried the fajitas and nachos recently too and it's delicious.

Nice place, food, and beverage are really nice. The decor is reminiscent of that 90s bar you remember so fondly.
