The place is small, has a great atmosphere, and is centrally located. I recommend booking a table as it's quite popular. Between two people, we spent a total of €79, which is considerably more than I would spend at any other restaurant. The difference is justified by the fact that other options are junk food, while these are typical Spanish tapas. And very good ones at that. I will definitely return. If you order croquettes, be aware that a plate of croquettes only comes with three. The staff were very friendly, and we didn't have to wait long for all the dishes to arrive.

Really nice and cosy atmosphere. I was staying in Dublin for business and come across this by Googling "wine house". Superb customer service, very nice wine and delicious food. Did go back there with my colleague a day after my first visit and would definitely go back again. The only thing I would improve is more lighting at the table, as it wasn't easy to read the menus.

Still my favourite Port House and that's down to the staff. The food was absolutely magnificent to though! A highlight was the Portobello mushroom & black pudding that came out on toasted French baguette. I would say...it would be great if there was a small "touch" lamp or something in the middle of the table so people could read the paper menu. I got blinded from everywhere by people putting on their torch phones to read the menu. That or put them on a clipboard that has a little spotlight. It just breaks the atmosphere and as a neurodiverse person the bright light in my face kept making me jump or get disorientated. A coat rack also? We came during pouring rain and our coats were put behind the bar but when we went to leave, they were thrown in a pile on a low stool and were sopping still.

Menu and food was fabulous I would definitely come back for the food! Quick to receive the food but you were almost ignored after that, it took a long time to try and order another drink. The waiter started taking plates we were still eating from and took my partners cocktail that had only been half drank.. I personally enjoyed the atmosphere, it was dark and cosy but you’re very close to other tables so I don’t believe it’s for everyone. It’s loud and the noise bounces around the room because it’s a cave like structure, again I didn’t mind this but it’s not for everybody.

Cool little spot. However, the service was really slow and inattentive. Staff were pleasant as people but not great as servers. We were also put on a tiny table as five people which wasn't ideal. Probably wouldn't come back. Food was alright, not fantastic.

Lovely food, service and atmosphere. Tables are very close together which makes it a bit hard to talk with your group if you're seated next to a much louder table as we were.

The Port house is a fantastic little tapas spot with consistently delicious food. All the dishes are Spanish-style small plates, packed with flavour and perfect for sharing. Inside, the atmosphere is cosy and rustic with dim lighting, stone floors and very small tables, giving it that intimate old-European vibe. I’ve sat outside a few times, but just be aware there can be smokers and the odd person hanging around, so I usually opt for indoors. Overall though, it’s a solid 10/10 for food and I always make a point of coming back whenever I’m in the area

Stopped by Port House with friend for a quick drink and ended up staying for a full port tasting and so glad we did. Adi, our host, was amazing with recommendations. We tried four different aged ports and ordered four small dishes, all of which were delicious. We originally planned for just one glass but the service and vibe completely won us over. Loved the atmosphere, we sat outside but the inside looked great too. Not too bad spot for a date also. I’ll definitely be back.

Nice restaurant, food lovely, bit dark.... Staff so good except for one female waitress, who was extremely rude to us, would never return or recommend this restaurant because of her.... She was so rude, no need for it at all.

Port House Pintxo

22/12/2025: Place has really gone downhill in the last few years, food quality is not what it once was and staff don’t really care
15/12/2025: We had low expectations of finding truly Spanish food, but we were pleasantly surprised. The food is quite good, although, since they only offer tapas, the portions were rather small. The price is reasonable for some dishes. The only thing I didn't like was the atmosphere... It's dark! I don't like eating in the dark.

01/12/2025: Delicious food. We got the three course Christmas menu and we’re absolutely stuffed after. Really great service from Alex. Especially delicious sorbet. Would come again.
