The quality of food and service has deteriorated over the past years. It used to be my favourite restaurant to eat in Dublin but I noticed that service started to become slower (with approx. the same number of customers), the new servers are not as knowledgeable and the food only tastes good, not amazing like before.
This place became overpriced and so I'm not planning to return.

This restaurant is really lovely, although a little small, but we managed to get a table with a stroller and a baby! My partner ordered fish and chips, which he didn't particularly like, but it was still tasty, and I had mussels and fries, which were absolutely delicious!!! I completely forgot to take pictures 😆😆

Their grilled seabream was awesome! The flesh was moist, and the silght oiliness made the flavor even better, while the skin was crispy and well-seasoned with salt. The garnish also complemented.
One thing to note: the check included an extra tip. They said it was optional, but it seemed to be already added.

I had the pleasure of having lunch at The Seafood Café by Niall Sabongi, and it was an amazing experience! I tried the linguine with crab, some scampi, and fresh crab claws — everything was incredibly fresh and full of flavour. The quality of the seafood was outstanding, and the service was exceptional: friendly, knowledgeable, and truly passionate about what they do.
We paired our meal with a French Chardonnay, and also enjoyed some Bloody Marys and other cocktails — all perfectly made. We’re already planning to come back on Monday for the Happy Hour with oysters and champagne. Definitely one of the best seafood spots in Dublin!

There's a quote I remember hearing that mother nature made oysters perfect and there's no way we could elevate the flavor or presentation any better, but as a chef it's our job to. Nothing made that quote more real than when I traveled from America to Germany then to Ireland and found myself at the Seafood Cafe by Nial Sabongi more real. The first time I was there the staff recommended the best combination of both seafood and wine paring that made me realize Ireland produces the best oysters in the world. My second night I got to meet the master oyster shucker in all of Ireland Shane who not only took the time to explain what makes an oyster shucking not only beautiful but also why you should wait a bit to get every savory bit of that beautiful shellfish. The grinding of horseradish gave this dish the ultimate touch. Honestly the best experience in Dublin but also the best experience in any high end restaurant. If you don't go to try their amazing seafood you missed an essential heart of Dublin and how amazing the Irish culture is. 11/10
