The Seafood Cafe by Niall Sabongi in Dublin

Absolutely fabulous. The staff were incredibly helpful and easily accommodated one of our party with complicated dietary issues. Cannot really recommend highly enough.

Dublin prawns, fish & chips and oysters were delicious. The lemonade was really nice and the staff were so friendly. I've dropped the stars for the atmosphere because we were outside and the extractor fan from the kitchen was right above the outdoor seating, it chucked out smoke and burnt fish smells, it made our eyes sting from the smoke and our hair & clothes stink. But other than that, I higher recommend - they need to re-think the fan.

Everything was very good, although the mussels were small, I suppose because it was August. The monkfish was very good, and the crab salad was spectacular.

We ordered soup of the day today, when it arrived I really thought it looked like a bowl of hot water with a poached egg on toast floating in it, surrounded by some garnish and a chunk of fish. But, and it's a big BUT, when I tasted it, it was AMAZING. I was a bit shocked, this was the biggest case of don't judge a book by the cover I have ever encountered. The soup was amazing. Taste was fantastic. This dish and I assume, restaurant, really innovates with its bold ingredients and serving style, and I for one am a huge fan. Keep it up guys. If in Dublin, try this place in the heart of Temple Bar, let them surprise you too.

Super fresh oysters and great service from Barry and the team. The space has a laid back feel with plenty of charm. Only negative note was the humongous amount of sliced garlic in the linguine, which I didn’t expect for a €30+ pasta dish. Nevertheless, would recommend (not to a vampire though), mussels were great and plate sizes were generous. Would recommend especially for the oysters, best ones on our Irish trip!

Amazing oysters. The prawns dish was big and fresh. These were definitely langoustine, not shrimp. Friendly staff. Good service. Amazing vibe, in the middle of action in the city center.

I love food here, just I was a bit disappointed by two things. Firstly I arrived in the oyster happy hour and they said no other food can be served from 4-5pm which is really sad as I wanted to order more food :( then the tip was automatically added, customer should be told before you add it in the bill. The rest is good.

I always look for a good seafood restaurant wherever I go. Seafood Café surprised me a lot for genuinely serving original dishes. Safran risotto made by a 22yo Brit guy with scallops was just awesome. As an Italian I was over-surprised. Oysters variety was stunning. Seabass delicious. Only thing I found downgrading were the plastic plants. Highly recommended.

Good food, but expensive. €30 for fish and chips was excessive. Thick breading, not much fish. The fries were okay, but anyone can handle them. The shrimp dish was okay.
