Small place, but fantastic. Attentive and kind service and top oysters. We went here for happy hour and recommend it.

The halibut and chips was just okay. Our server was very friendly but seemed very busy, we waited a long time to order, we waited a long time for our food, and then we waited a long time for the espresso martinis we ordered. The espresso martinis were worth the wait, however. Those were absolutely delightful.

We went here on a cold night, and ordered like half the menu. Everything was absolutely delicious. Every dish was packed with flavor and cooked with love by Lucas. A few nights later, we also went to the highly rated Matt the Thresher seafood restaurant, and was totally disappointed (see my separate review). Seafood Cafe was so good, that we went back again the day after Matt the Thresher for lunch. They also have a lunch special menu. Again, every dish was absolutely delicious and freshly cooked to order. Prices were also very reasonable, and worth every penny. Recommend reservations. If you love seafood, this is a must visit

Fantastic food hobbled by what appears to be bad restaurant setup. 2 servers, 2 cooks, and one dishwasher serving an entire restaurant and outside area. The servers seemed hamstrung by having to also shuck the oysters, weigh the lobsters (!), mix the drinks, and pour the pints. The fantastic cooks were similarly rammed cooking a wide variety of food including whole fish on the grill. This translated to us taking at least half an hour to get our mains. The door was not insulated and the bar seats were cold even when the door wasn't open, which was often because of what I said about the outside seats. The risotto was delicious, the contrast between the slightly crunchy sweet corn and the creamy risotto was amazing. The scallops were perfectly cooked and had a lovely char. The prawn linguine was amazing and the prawns cooked perfectly.

I found the food quite mediocre, unfortunately. A bit of a tourist trap. The garlic bread was good though.

Great spot in a sea of touristy mediocrity in Temple Bar area. It’s a teeny spot so go early or book a reso. Seafood is super fresh. I had scallops on the half shell and the parpadelle pasta. Drinks and wine were lovely, along with the warm, attentive service. Would recommend!

Stumbled across this place whilst trying to get a table for a birthday celebration on a busy Saturday night. Food and drink was divine. Lovely hospitality from the team . Would highly recommend.

L'Enoteca di Napoli

26/10/2024: I had the smoked salmon and cheese on a "bagel" for lunch. Instead of a bagel it actually came out on two pieces of toasted bread. Ultimately it was more food than I needed but the price seemed very reasonable for the portion size. Service felt quite slow even though the restaurant was mostly empty. I was also left with some reservations about food safety; I watched the chef assemble my meal without gloves, and there were some unusual brown bits on the salmon which I cut off. Ultimately no ill came of it though, and the parts that I ate were tasty.
22/10/2024: The pasta was simple and not quite traditional, but lovely. The Italian grandmother was pumping out the pasta dishes while the grumpy youngish Italian ‘chef’ made one pizza and warmed 3 pieces of bread for bruschetta - making sure everyone knew, slamming the pizza oven doors constantly, in between being in his phone, eating pizza cheese and barking instructions to the young waiters! He actually made two pizzas, but ate the second one himself, so I don’t count that one! The large groups seemed to be having fun! If you want simple pasta - don’t be put off.
