Great place. Don’t take Keith’s advice.

The Seafood Cafe is one of Dublin's treasures and an essential visit for any seafood fan who happens to be in the area. Stylish design, a quality menu and great service await. I recommend the chowder, crab claws on ice and the lobster rolls, all of which are superb. All of the food is expertly presented and full of flavour. One of the best places in Dublin for seafood. Highly recommended.

Great place in Temple Bar for fresh seafood. Oysters were amazing and service was friendly and quick. Definitely will return, worth every cent.

The best seafood I had recently. Fresh, delicious and tiramisu at the end was amazing. Really nice service and lots of choice. Make sure you book in advance to guarantee a seat.

Our server was lovely and atmosphere couldn’t fault. However, the food was extremely overpriced for how much you got. On top of this our oysters came with an unexpected guest 🫣, a wriggling worm/parasite was found on the oyster one of us was about to eat. We brought the shucker over to ask if this was normal, there wasn’t much of an apology and we were just offered another oyster - even though all of our stomachs had flipped. We all think that some better compensation was in order considering the price of the place.

The food was really excellent! We had 6 oysters and were able to get that split between 2 different types. For mains we got: garlic prawns, sea bass and monkfish. We got two bottles of wine that were great with our meal. It’s a super small place so I’m glad we’re got a reservation. Unfortunately being a small place with an open kitchen meant that our clothes did smell quite fishy after leaving the restaurant. (A small price to pay for an excellent meal)

If this place ever closed down I would weep for forty days and forty nights, I would wear black for 3 months straight. One of the best places Dublin has to offer. Thank you for serving us for as many years as ye have, may you serve us for many more.

It was my first time trying oysters. I personally wasn’t a big fan, but I’ve heard from friends who really like oysters that they’re very good here. So the recommendation comes from them rather than from me and they’re true oyster fans.
