The Secret Garden @ The Alex Hotel in Dublin

I love the idea. The food is almost gourmet. Very creative. Vegan offerings. The poached pear is a good idea but my serving needed to be poached about 20 mins. longer. Was hard to cut and very tart. My salad was so good I didn't needed an entree. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Tip: The 'garden' are all artificial flowers and plants. I really wanted a living garden as the photos make it seem they are alive.

Very great service, as the waiters accomodated us, even offering us a dessert because we couldn’t get one for each of us. Really great time in a beautiful place, the only downside would be the toilet very far away and there's not enough pea sauce for the whole fish & chips... The room is beautiful, too bad that we can’t book in advance but let's say that adds up to the "secret" of that place !
