The Silver Penny in Dublin

A huge, inexpensive bar-restaurant near Dublin city center, with plenty of tables with benches or chairs on both floors. You can order both food and drinks from your table and have them brought to you. The menu is extensive, but it's especially recommended for its incredibly competitive prices for Dublin, both for food and, particularly, drinks.

One of my favourite, big, chaotic but very charm place in city centre!

There are brass signs on the tables warning punters to watch their bags. It is a rough part of the city and some of the crowd represent that element but I've been a few times and haven't seen any trouble. Food was nice, beer was spot on and the staff was friendly. The building is a work of art. Plenty of tables and room to move around. Would recommend but watch your bags 🎒 😏 😉 Price of the beer: 5 lads having beers at 22 euro a round while it would be 50+ euro in Temple Bar 🍻 We really are getting ripped off in little old Paddyland.

The waiter Henry is Goated. The only reason this place is 2 star

Large spacious pub in refurbished elegant buildings. Plenty of informative panels to learn the buildings history. Effective security keep the peace! Don't arrive within an hour of weekend closing expecting easy access. Earlier arrival is suggested!

Absolutely lovely place really cheap and food is gorgeous.

A brilliant Wetherspoons. Excellent range of cask ales, all in perfect condition. Usual wonderful prices too. Top marks.
