The Stag's Head in Dublin

Came here after seeing a recommendation from Hanna and Martin (The Globe) on YouTube, and it did not disappoint! The Irish Stew was a total highlight flavorful and comforting. Paired it with a perfect pint of Guinness. The service was amazing, though the pub was quite busy, which speaks to its great reputation. A must-visit in Dublin!

We stopped in for the live music and just had the one drink. Music was good and we found seats surprisingly. Decor is perfect for tourist dublin

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Stag’s Head is a great spot if you’re looking for a proper traditional Dublin pub. The atmosphere is cosy and authentic, with beautiful old interiors and a relaxed, welcoming feel. We stopped in for drinks and really enjoyed the vibe—busy but not overwhelming, and a nice mix of locals and visitors. The Guinness was excellent, and service was quick and friendly. Prices are reasonable for the city centre, with drinks sitting around the typical Dublin range and offering good value compared to nearby pubs (Wanderlog). Overall, a solid, no-frills pub with great character—perfect for a casual drink in a classic setting.

Enjoyed our meal at the staghead so much we bought a t-shirt. Trying to eat more local dishes so I got the corned beef sandwich and my husband got the Irish cottage pie. Plus we got the sweet potato fries which were fabulous! Loved everything and enjoyed our wine and Guinness along with it. Great place to stop in for a drink or a bite!

… would have liked to eat there, but unfortunately overlooked the fact that the kitchen closes at 5 pm… relaxed pub atmosphere!

Cozy, friendly, good service, delicious food, excellent value for money

Must have been the single worlds best toastie i have ever had in my entire live. 🤞 Stuffed with shredded Kassler and Béchamel this thing was properly good. The bread was perfectly golden and crispy on the outside, and inside you get this generous filling of smoky, tender shredded pork that tastes just like Kassler, melted cheese, and a rich Béchamel that holds it all together. The thick cut chips have been more than good company for the toastie. 🤣

The food is good and the atmosphere is nice, little bit on the pricey side all things considered.
