Thyme Out in Dublin

Stopped in for a coffee and a sandwich. The toasted chicken pesto sandwich did not disappoint. It was stuffed full of pesto chicken, cheese and sun dried tomatoes. Pricing was fair compared to the rest of the town. Service was extremely friendly and fast. They had various other items for sale and they had a bathroom for customers too.

Another lovely cafe where I pop into after my sea swims. Staff are very friendly and coffee is lovely :) they also have a nice range of takeaway meals, sambos etc :) the vegetarian lasagne was beyond palatable! Especially with a nice cucumber salad as a side that I made :)

Dalkey is a small village but does offer a number of coffee shops. Thyme Out would be hard to beat. A gorgeous selection of pastry bakes and cakes (caramel square very good) Good decaf coffee too along with reasonable prices (I’m comparing to London) Nice service and no doubt in my short trip I’ll be in one more time!

Delicious honey baked ham toasted sandwich which came super fast. Cosy spot on a cold day. Highly recommend apart from the burnt coffee.

Really like Tyme Out and was looking forward to a coffee and a wholemeal scone after a long walk. I purchased a coffee and 2 scones which I noticed were overcooked and bit burnt in places. I put them in bag with the tongs and brought to my table. I ate one as I was really hungry and it was very hard and overbaked. Left in oven too long. I went to the counter to return the other one as it was not nice at all, when they are usually very good. I got a blank stare and the woman behind counter went to the kitchen. She returned in a minute and gave me back the money for scone and then put in bin. She then told me , you cannot return goods. Where is the customer care, no recognition of my complaint, just pure ignorance. I have a right to make a complaint but obviously they don't feel I have. Customer feedback is important and I was nice about it but they made me feel like I had done something terribly wrong. .

Great coffee, even better staff. My girlfriend accidentally left her phone inside and the staff came out and gave us it before we even knew it was gone. They were also lovely enough to share their amazing mocha recipe…which by the way is phenomenal. Couldn’t choose a better spot!!!

Service very poor. Was left waiting for over 5 minutes today with only 2 customers including me and 3 staff present Food great but takes too long to get looked after which is a regular occurrence.

Absolutely lovely cafe, the staff are outstanding especially a young woman by the name of Sinead. She served me an oat late with a stunning heart foam top just for me. Absolutely made my day.
