Tucano restaurant in Dublin is a true celebration of Brazilian gastronomy in the heart of Ireland.
The atmosphere is welcoming, the service is impeccable, and the food… simply wonderful! Authentic flavors, well-seasoned and served with care. Each dish brings a little piece of Brazil and a dose of good nostalgia.
The prices are fair and reflect the quality of what is offered.
Just one detail: the musical selection could be more diverse. Playing sertanejo universitário all the time doesn't represent the richness of Brazilian music — which ranges from samba to MPB, from forró to bossa nova. This is a suggestion to make the experience even more complete and unforgettable.

First and foremost, I thought the atmosphere was great! Lots of energy and the staff really contributed to that. Nice music and a pleasant environment to eat. You seat yourself at lunch time, if there are seats available.
The food is pretty good! It's enjoyable and tasty and hits the spot. It ain't fancy, but nor is it meant to be. For the price, the food is tasty and the portion is generous - no issue there. I would certainly come back!
If I were to be critical, there were two issues that came up - though none detracted that bad from our experience, but still, something to consider for the owners. First is that there is no hot plate. So when food is ready, it's merely placed on a platform - no heaters among it. So when it was picked up 1-2 minutes after it was placed, the fries had already gone completely cold. I can see from other reviews that this isn't an uncommon experience. Second, the chicken parmagiana was tasty - no doubt about it, but I would easily say that half a chicken breast was used to create the dish. Many people would say that this is a little cheap on the protein which is, after all, the primary cost of the dish.
Those two issues aside, I enjoyed the experience here - though I would have enjoyed it more perhaps if these two issues did not exist. I would come back, and I hope it gets even better when I do!

Tucano Restaurant is a lovely Brazilian spot right in the heart of Dublin. It’s a small place but very cozy, full of charm, and with a warm atmosphere that makes you feel welcome straight away. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive — even when there was a queue outside, they offered us a little treat while we waited, which was such a nice touch.
The food is delicious, authentic, and well-priced compared to other Brazilian restaurants in the city. Portions are satisfying and full of flavour, making the wait absolutely worth it. And to top it off, they even offer free coffee at the end of the meal — a thoughtful detail that makes the experience feel complete.
It’s clearly a popular spot, but the staff handle the crowds with kindness and efficiency. If you’re looking for a great Brazilian meal in a central location with wonderful service, Tucano is definitely a place to try.

I ordered roast chicken and they brought me a plate of grilled chicken. The good part was that it came with rice, potatoes, and beans. The bad part: The potatoes were frozen...

Very good food, good service, value for money, however I always go to Brazilian restaurants for it's steaks and the steak knives there were terrible, please provide proper knives bott me and my friend suffered to cut the steaks and it's frustrating.

Was looking a quick meal on Sunday after the NFL. The service is incredible, you’re made to feel welcomed by the staff. The food is ok. It’s not great if I’m honest. I got the steak and it’s pretty bland as is the rice and beans. Overall a 3/5 it covers the basics but not a meal I’d be recommending to anyone in a hurry.
