I came to Donegal on a trip with my class, and this was one of my favourite places! They serve great food, and the lady working there was really sweet, and made sure we were all more than satisfied with our order. The drinks are amazing too and if I visit Donegal again, stopping here is definitely a must for me! :)

Smugglers Creek Inn

04/04/2026: What truly stands out about this hotel is the wonderful hospitality and helpfulness. Emily and Mark are a very friendly, funny, and open couple who have created a very cozy atmosphere in the hotel and restaurant. Dinner is perfectly fine, and the atmosphere is the main factor that makes it all the more enjoyable. Thanks to its proximity to the beach, nature lovers and surfers in particular will be delighted.
25/03/2026: Had a lovely meal here with a group of six. Very friendly staff, in particular the owner who we had great chats with. Food was reasonably priced and portions were a good size, the views are lovely. Cosy spot for a meal while also having a nice bar area. Overall a gem of a spot that we really enjoyed.

Paddy's Bar and Restaurant

01/03/2026: Busy place , would suggest to have reservation, we was just driving true the village and be lucky to get table , very happy to find this place accidentally... perfect spot! amazing food! , great service with stunning view for lake. Will be back soon!
30/12/2025: A very pleasant and spacious place with a beautiful view. The food was very good. It's a shame dogs aren't allowed. We hope this will change, as it's a good thing!
