22/07/2025: Had dinner here Sunday evening. Very impressed. Firstly – staff are so friendly and helpful – definitely a major asset to the restaurant. Food – for starter – we had the Onion Bhajee and Gunpowder Chicken Tikka. Both were very nice and very flavoursome. However, the chicken was a tad dry and the Bhajee was not hot enough and could have been a tad more crispy. Personally, I wasn’t a fan of the Pomegranate – I found that sweetness burst took away from the rest of the amazing flavours of the Bhajee. For mains – we both went with the Lamb Biryani. Delicious. Perfectly cooked – the lamb was so flavoursome and tender. The rice was so, so nice. We went with the Gulab Jamun (Indian milk donut) for dessert. Overall, it was really, really nice. The ‘donut’ was more spongy than donut – but still delicious. A few slight negatives – personally, I felt was the 4 little pieces were on the ‘stingy’ side – and I would have preferred less of the saffron sugar syrup (as it’s very sweet) – plus, I have my doubts that the vanilla ice cream was actually “Movenpick's”. However, it was still a delicious dessert. Overall – loved the place, the food and the staff – am very happy to highly recommend it.
