Great hot food good prices. Sometimes can hear two music's or is repetitive or irritating or too loud of songs playing in background. More so affects when sitting in overflow back part of restaurant. Just need to be more noise conscious for relaxing enjoyable meal. Everything else in this restaurant is top tier.

We had a function at the valley Lodge and it was excellent. We used the function room at the back of the bar and lounge which is a good size for a party. The food was good and the service friendly and helpful. It's also good value and the portion sizes are good.

09/05/2024: A True Gem in Carrickmacross! This bakery is simply outstanding! Matilda's offers arguably the best pastry in Ireland and possibly the best bread ever baked on the planet. Their coffee and all its variations, like cappuccinos, are stunning and unique. What truly sets this place apart is the staff; they are not only incredibly friendly, but they also work swiftly and lovingly, making you feel like you’re among best friends. A must-visit for anyone in the area!

18/10/2024: Rocksalt CMX is a lovely little cafe and restaurant. The food and coffee are excellent and the staff are really helpful and nice. It's a lovely spot with its indoor and outdoor dining facilities. Nestled down at the Carrick Aces running track, it is a lovely place to pop into after or before a nice walk/run around the Convent Avenue walkway. Highly recommend anyone to go in and give it a try. You won't be disappointed. 5 star!
31/08/2024: Delicious coffee-promt service. I couldn't see coffee menu with prices . Great atmosphere but too many dogs with the owners at the time we were sitting outside of the cafe...Great spot for coffee and something to eat!
