The overall experience was excellent, it's a cosy little spot with a great feel. The staff were brilliant (especially with the wine selection) making it a really relaxed and comfortable experience. The menu had a lot of variety while staying true to the Irish inspiration. 100% recommended and will be back again

Start to finish the food and service was exceptional. We were greeted by the chief at the start of our meal and his skill and ability to pair flavors is unmatched. The Monk fish entree was one of the best dishes we've ever had. The service was very attentive and approachable- explaining each dish in detail! If you're in Dublin I would not miss out on the opportunity to experience the food, service and atmosphere. We can't wait to go back!

Had a lovely tasting night with my family the staff were very friendy and helpful i was alergic to fish so the accomotaded me with that drinks and wine were lovely food was amazing your taste buds will scream with happyness.the tastes flavours and sents of food were fab.id defo come again.one of my favourits now.keep it up guys.well done.

Enjoyed most of the dishes from the tasting menu. Pasta dish was a bit too simple and too heavy, was not impressed with the main pork course neither that followed after. Last course desert was OK, was too full and tipsy to enjoy it. The little nibbles were delicious, liked them all. Generous pairing wine servings, was a bit too much for me personally. 2.5 hours was not enough to finish the meal and drinks without rushing at the end which is a pity.

Absolutely top of the range food, a delightful experience had by all 4 of us.

Incredible! Everything was spot on. The food, the staff, the venue. Couldn’t fault it and we’ll definitely head back. The oysters, duck liver parfait, and the pasta alfredo were standouts. And the pork chops as well.

Fantastic food, friendly staff and none of the stuffyness of the usual michilin star experience. I placed our reservation on the wait list with a note about our flight which had been canceled causing us to last minute have a night in Dublin. Within 30 minutes they called me to fit us in and when we arrived they were very kind to apologize for our flight and assure us that the meal would make up for it. We found that we were relaxed, comfortable and thoroughly enjoying the ambiance of the “brooklyn” style interior. That is posed against a tasting menu which can only be described as “no misses.” We ate a pescatarian version of the menu which the accommodated last minute and I personally not being the pescatarian of the group never felt I was missing out at all. One of the best spots in Dublin no doubt.

Finally got to visit Variety Jones with some friends. A lovely warm welcome followed by an ex Ellen’s experience from start to finish. Food was inventive and a wide range of tastes. The wine list enabled us to explore Slovenian White and Georgian Red both excellent. From Aaron at front of house to Keelan in the kitchen and the entire staff this was a wonderful fun dining experience in a relaxed atmosphere. Well worth its Michelin Star. Will be back.
