Variety Jones in Dublin

Absolutely blown away but the menu and service at VJ. This may very well fit in my top 5 restaurants in the world, and I don’t put that lightly. Every single dish was unique and delicious and it was exciting to see what was coming next. I cannot wait to come again the next time we’re in Ireland.

To be honest this is the best restaurant I’ve ever been to. This is what an amazing restaurant should feel like. Everything was perfect- the food, waiters and waitresses the music the whole feel of the place.

The dress code not too dressy. Environment very relaxed/casual.

Everything was fantastic. Service was chill and perosonable from the get go. Menu was explained nicely and sommelier took time to explain and recommend drinks. Food arrived at very nice pace. All dishes were above average. Interesting and most importantly tasty. Place is super relaxed and seems totally focused on customer experience and happiness.

This was truly an exceptional culinary adventure I will be telling everyone and anyone about. Each course was unique, surprising, and delightful in the wildest ways. I loved how my tastebuds kept getting confused and shocked with each bite, it was such a fun experience!! I’m so impressed with the staff as well! From the attentive and silly host and waiter, to the brilliantly witty sommelier we were truly delighted from start to finish. Thank you so much for everything!!!

Amazing experience. The food was delicious, well executed with some surprising textures and flavour combinations that paired perfectly. Our favourite was the hamachi crudo, an absolute delight. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and created a very comfortable atmosphere. Shoutout to Mani for accompanying us during the evening and for the extra bread! Plus, the restaurant is beautiful, with a combination of vibrant colors and warm tones that create a cozy and elevated space.

The staff at the door were very welcoming, and we were initially pleased with our seating. However, the tables were positioned quite close together. The couple beside us was within easy earshot, and our tables were separated only by a small glass partition, which offered very little privacy. The staff member responsible for our wine service came across as rather serious and somewhat impersonal. After tasting the recommended Unfortunately, I noticed that my wine glass had a noticeable dishwasher odor. When I mentioned this, she promptly replaced the glass. However, the second glass had the same issue. When I brought this to her attention, I was disappointed by the response. There was no apology or attempt to find a better solution. Instead, I was told that all the glasses would likely be the same, although she would be happy to replace it again if I wished. At that point, I decided to keep the glass and not let the issue affect the rest of the evening. While the food and overall experience had many positive aspects, I expected a higher level of attention to detail and customer service from a Michelin-starred restaurant. A simple acknowledgment of the concern and a more proactive response would have made a significant difference.
