Vat House in Dublin

I was here for the first time on Monday. The service is a slight but slow but apart from that it's a great place

First time in Ireland, I struggle the first couple of days finding a nice place to relax was not easy. I finally found the Vat and I love it. Great food, good service and perfect atmosphere for relaxing and enjoying my meal.

Place and good was OK. I dont know the customs here in Ireland but was a bit strange to add a 10% tip to the receipt which we had to pay anyway. Top is something to add if we liked the service..

It was warm and the food was filling. Also, surprisingly great cheese plate.

We called in here to meet up with our favourite cousins before we headed off for a meal out in Temple Bar. Friday evening 18 October at 18:00 was not that busy so the six of us sat together in a small alcove and relaxed with a couple of drinks each. Pricing for drinks is realistic and we all enjoyed the atmosphere, location and service. Some people know this place as The Blooms Bar as access can be either straight off Anglesey Road or through the front door of Blooms Hotel and then turn right just after you enter. Great place to visit and relax as sometimes they have live music as well.

Very nice: good live music and good food.

We were here on Friday: it was very empty at first. But the waitresses and waiters put in a lot of effort. We couldn't understand why it was a little emptier. There is the opportunity to do various whiskey tastings here for a fair price. There will also be live music, food and funny hats and caps as a free giveaway. The beer selection is also good.

We struggled to find somewhere for dinner as our group has allergies. We were lucky to find this place and the food was very good. Three of us had the broth, which was full of flavours and very enjoyable. I like a larger serving, so that would be my downside as it’s not quite big enough serving for me. My wife and mother in law both felt it was a good sized portion.
